good food and drinks we ordered prawn pasta, salmon and iced matcha, sadly didn’t take any photos but the restaurant was decked with halloween decor which was pretty impressive and the food was good, matcha was nice, really enjoyed the overall experience. water was refillable as well, will definitely go back with the wide variety of choices.

Saucey Order the fruitt di mare and risotto rice ball. Overall, it is very flavourful but i find the plate flooded with sauce. Would be good if they cut down on it

1-1 plant based beverage Small and quaint cafe with seats to accommodate about 12 people max. Not your typical Instagram worthy cafe. Coffee is quite decent! Burpple deal requires plant based milk so on top of usual coffee price, plant based milk top up is about $1-2. Both drinks have to be plant based!

Matcha White Chocolate Mochi Muffin ($4.50) The texture of the mochi muffin is quite interesting - very chewy but dense, like a cross between chewy bread and mochi. The matcha and white chocolate flavours are just average. Quite overpriced for the small size and average taste, wouldn’t buy again but it was okay just to try once, to experience a different texture and mouthfeel (don’t expect to be mind blown or anything). We visited on a Sunday and it was fairly quiet. I like the concept of the cafe, it was very spacious and cozy. Perfect for chilling or doing some work over coffee.

coffee 141 kohito $7 dark mocha $7 (i think the online menu states $7.50 for both drinks, probably not updated) i think these drinks were okayyyy nthg to shout about. kohito was an interesting mix of ice black + milk + mint, which takes a few mouths to get used to the taste. defo not for everyone but interesting combination nonetheless. dark mocha’s cocoa taste kinda overpowered the coffee taste have to take escalator up and it’s located in the middle (on the left after coming up)

Hot flat white and iced matcha latte. 1for1 Coffee tasted pretty normal and matcha latte felt too diluted. Pales in comparison with Hvala. Luckily it is 1for1.

Rosti 😍 Pretty Rosti with crispy bacon. We sat underneath the tree which was pretty cool. Chill spacious place and it was easy to hold a conversation. We had the 1-for-1 for the espresso based drinks and topped up for ice.

Double patty cheezeburger Huge bun and a double patty hiding in the middle. We topped up for ice for the iced latte.

Perfect cuppa! Latte was nicely brewed with beautiful latte art! One of the must try coffee deal in Burpple! :)

tiramisu, coconut panna cotta and cake desserts were above expectations!! tiramisu had q a strong coffee taste and a subtle alcohol taste. panna cotta was damn nice with the crunchy crumbs on top of it and even the complimentary chocolate cake was enjoyable. it’s like a chocolate malt cake

300 day grain fed USDA prime rib eye an additional of $25 for this rib eye. it was juicy paired well with the sauce

spiced pork linguine the appetizers were quite generous and i was quite full by the time i got to the mains… pork was like roasted pork but some pieces where slightly tougher to chew. the sauce was ok

Been a fan of @windowsillpies ever since...even before I started this account. Considering that there aren't many dessert pie-focused stores in Singapore, it's great to see that they have been around for years (though I miss their spacious Jalan Besar outlet with the fun cabin-like interior and decor), presenting us with a sweet, homely alternative to cakes and ice-cream. Flavours have definitely changed up over the years (or maybe I've just been MIA from their stuff for way too long) with classics having been retained after all these years! The Maple Latte Pie ($7.50) was something new to me, and having just come back from the stereotypically presumed land of maple syrup not too long ago, I was definitely drawn to this quite instantly. The creme is more of a coffee base with distinguishable traces of maple, and nuts, for a balanced bittersweet flavour and the cake (?) layer is pretty interesting and unique to the dessert. The cookie bits are added upon order just to make the pie a little prettier than already is. 🥰 One thing that has caught my attention though is the drastic decrease in their base thickness; it's pretty thin to the point where - especially with this one - I feel like there's no pie base at all. I did experience this the last time I was at their Upper Thomson branch, but simply don't recall it being like this couple of years back. The base of a pie is surely essential to the foundation, and overall texture and taste of it so that aspect did disappoint a little. 😧 That said, flavours are still pretty spot on and overall, it's still a place I'd go to when I'm craving for a dessert that simply stands out from the conventional without feeling like an Instagram gimmick. 😌 Pro-tip: don't forget to redeem one-for-one deals here with @burpple Beyond should you have membership! 😉

Pineapple Passionfruit Yogurt ($8) and Pumpkin Pecan ($7) It's been a good long while since I last had windowsill pies. Decided against my usual order of grasshopper pie and went with the pineapple passionfruit yogurt which really took me by surprise. The filling was so refreshing, slightly tangy and not too sweet. Even the yogurt covered muesli bites on the too were a nice added crunch. A new fave! The pumpkin pecan was recommended by the lady serving us. This pie was deeper in flavour, rich and almost coffee like. It had a brown sugar base filling, a cinnamony pumpkin purée on top with a layer of crushed pecans in between. The pineapple passionfruit was definitely my favourite of the two. My only note was that the pastry for both pies were only ok - a bit on the drier side. Otherwise, the fillings were winning.

I’ve tried various pizzas from Pietro Ristorante Italiano, but my favourite is the unique 𝗣𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗮 𝗕𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸 🍕($𝟮𝟯.𝟵𝟬), which comes topped with generous slices of honey-baked ham, creamy white feta cheese, a wreath of fresh rocket leaves and a glorious oozing sunny-side-up egg in the centre. (On the day I went, they were out of rocket leaves, so they substituted it with other greens.) Baked in a proper fire oven, the pizza’s thin crust comes out unbelievably crispy, with a beautiful leopard mark char blistered on the golden brown exterior. Simply—*chef’s kiss*. 😘 The pasta is also delicious. I ordered the 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗵𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶 𝗔𝗹𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗼 𝗙𝗿𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶 𝗱𝗶 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗲 🍝($𝟮𝟲.𝟵𝟬), which is a seafood lover’s delight, with prawn, clams, squid, scallop, coated in a rich and creamy white wine sauce and sprinklings of reggiano cheese. My only gripe is that they could be more generous with the seafood—there was only one small prawn, and the scallop was missing. Otherwise, Pietro Ristorante Italiano is truly my favourite Italian restaurant in Singapore, for its highly value-for-money 1-for-1 lunch promotions and delicious food. Spaghet lunch 🍝 The marinara spaghetti was not bad for a Thursday lunch with the coworkers ✨ but the sauce was a bit underwhelming in the sense that there wasn’t that much flavor to it. But I did enjoy the pasta- it was more of like a linguine type! And the seafood was okay as well, again, it didn’t really have much flavor to it?? I guess this dish overall was okay but I feel like there are other amazing pasta dishes you can get for a cheaper price at other places. I guess this place is more catered to meats/bbq/grilling that kind of thing so I can understand why their spaghetti wouldn’t be amazing ya kno? Deal used: 1-for-1 main dish lunch

Chicken thigh The chicken was juicy and the accompanying salad was surprisingly tasty. The mashed potatoes were ok. The sauce could have been better but overall with a Burpple 1 for 1 deal it was a yummy and value meal.

Nice food to pair with beer or wine Seafood risotto was delicious. Ingredients were fresh and generous. My hubby had the chicken. Sauce was also delicious. We ended the meal with the pistachio dessert. Not really to my liking abit too sweet. And the ice cream was pandan flavour. Not pistachio. Was expecting for pistachio ice cream hehehe. Falafel Bowl A cosy co-working space with comfortable meeting area, and of course they also serves some in-house dining as well. I ordered their falafel bowl without much expectation and was surprised with the portion. It is actually very big and fulfilling meal for one person. Comes with lots of mixed mesclun, cherry tomato salsa and tabouleh. Of course with their house-made falafel you can’t go without the humus, which they provided 2 type of it; included the traditional and beetroot. Accompanied by mixed herbs, avocado, house-made plant-based raita, house-made flatbread, dukkah and almonds. I need some protein for my lunch, which is why I also added some organic chicken to my bowl.

i! love! genius! central! forever an advocate of this place!! love the atmosphere and spaciousness of the restaurant, and how friendly the staff are. i always get my cheese quesadilla and top it up with chicken :) it’s not the cheapest but i always come out feeling extra full and hearty i love the sides and the spices too. my friend got the falafel set and that was pretty GREAT too. can’t wait to try other things on their menu

Apple galette The apple was nicely cooked down with sufficient softness and tasted tart. The ice cream was soft and decadent too. Overall the best dish of the night! The corse sugar and cinnamon was the icing on the cake. Wine selection at this restaurant was good too!

Beef with onion pie The beef was over cooked and lacked flavours. If you are expecting melt in your mouth steak, this is not it. The leaks were undercooked so were the onion on the pie. For $90, you can definitely get better beef else where.
