Had to try the Classic Cheese ($12.90) after seeing the hype on TikTok!
This was a good cheese burger with your typical juicy beef patty, caramelised onions, tomatoes, cheese and many more! Like many others I found the patty really tender and went well with their unique sauce, making it a little different from your other classic beef burgers else where. The highlight for me was actually the soft fluffy bun, somehow it was a little sweet too!
We also topped up $3 for the meal and the Waffle Fries was fried to perfection! Just the right amount of crisp, savouriness and saltiness all in the fries.
Overall it was a decent place but would only come back if I’m around the area!

My first 10/10 rating!!
Tried the Banh Mi Thit Nuong ($6.90) which is Baguette with BBQ Pork. And this is hands down the best Banh Mi ever!! Filled to the brim with sweet yet savoury BBQ meat, crunchy cucumbers, coriander and chilli peppers all the ingredients just complemented the crunchiness of the baguette. The meat portion was so flavourful and generous as well, along with the chilli that gave it a little punch.
If you’re looking for authentic and value for money Vietnamese Banh Mi, Nhung kitchen is definitely the place to go to! Will definitely be back to try their other flavours as well!

Landed here after a day exploring the Science Centre!!
Saw this place trending on Tiktok and tried their classic Tsukimi Hamburg Don ($11.80). The juicy and savoury beef patty was like no other, perfectly paired with the runny egg. Didn’t manage to get the premium egg yolk from Japan… not sure if it would have made a difference though because it still tasted amazing. The rice too was a work of art, the fluffy short grain was slightly sweet and complemented the exquisite hamburg steak, egg and radish topping nicely. The meal also was nicely balanced with a hot bowl of soup.
Maybe I’ll go back again to try the premium egg yolk version if I’m in the area!

The highlight of the meal would have to be the Truffle Carbonara. I still can remember the distinct aromatic smell of the truffle on the pasta. As a Carbonara lover, this was really one of the best I have eaten. With a creamy sauce, paired with mushrooms, savoury shaved parmigano cheese and poached egg, all the ingredients paired so nicely together it was really a perfect plate of pasta!
Honestly Assembly Ground is really one of the more underrated cafes and I recommend everyone giving this a try with or without the Burpple deal! Will come back soon~

Shared the Truffle Carbonara ($25) and The Assembly Burger ($25) with a friend using our Burpple deal and it was super worth it as we each paid about $15 after gst.
The burger was so huge with a thick and juicy beef patty! Really generous portion of crispy curly fries as well and a good balance of greens! Definitely one of the better burgers and worth the money even without the deal.

Saw this cute place on TikTok that gave free ice cream when you returned your tray!
Ordered the Scallion Oil Shrimp Noodles ($7.90) with Cheese Sausage ($1.50) and the portion was super generous. The noodles itself were tangy and cooked to perfection with the scallion oil adding to the fragrance. As someone who loves her spice, i went over to the condiments bar to get some lao gan ma and chilli oil to give my noodles an extra kick too. The highlight - to my surprise - would probably be the cheese sausage. Don’t undermine these tiny sausages as they are filled with cheese oozing out in every bite. Special mention to the super generous portion of prawns too!!
After returning our tray we also got our complementary ice cream which was the best way to end off the savoury meal on a sweet note! Really value for money and will come back again soon!

Truly a hidden gem snuck right at the basement of Funan! Following the trend of build-your-own pasta bowls, this place offers pastas from $5.50 and allows you to choose from a variety of pastas and toppings too!
Had the Carbonara ($7.90) tossed with the classic Spaghetti pasta as recommended on the menu. The sauce was on the thicker side and was mixed with fatty guanciale (pork cheek), egg, parmesan and black pepper. Each bite was really creamy and eggy with the black pepper greatly enhancing the taste of the pasta. Portion was just right for a was super hungry me during lunch time! A little note though, would have preferred if the guanciale was replaced with bacon for a little bit of that protein. Will definitely come and try their other pastas though!

Second time trying the Creamy Chicken Scrambled Egg Croissant ($18) and it never fails to disappoint! The scrambled egg was definitely the highlight with little bits of savoury chicken mushrooms and baby spinach. The buttery croissant was still crispy at the bottom despite the creamy scrambled egg placed delicately on top. Overall the combination of the palatable fluffy egg and delicate croissant was perfect would definitely come back again for this.
Really aesthetic cafe to go to with attentive and cheerful staff too. Would want to visit their other outlet too!

Ordered the Cheese Kimbap ($10.80) to take home but we forgot to tell the staff at first so it came with our meal. Like any other typical kimbap theres your veg, egg and ham and they’re really generous with the ingredients in the kimbap. Simple yet satisfying!

Came here to celebrate my mum’s birthday!
We wanted a few different types of meat so we opted for the Assorted BBQ Set C ($77++)! It came with Beef Tenderloin, Marinated Pork Ribs, Marinated Chicken and assorted vegetables.
My personal favourite was the beef tenderloin, this luscious piece of meat, melts in your mouth immediately! Dipped it in the *gochujang* sauce and salt and pepper too which elevated the taste of the beef. The chicken and pork were also very well marinated and we enjoyed making lettuce wraps with all the meat we had.
My mum and I really loved this set and it was just nice for 2 pax (but we’re not really big eaters though haha). Slightly on the pricey side but still a good meal.

Tried the Grids Big Breakfast ($22) which featured many classic items. The scrambled eggs were really scrambled to perfection with the right balance of fluffiness and creaminess. A good portion to fill your tummy for brunch, will recommend!
We also tried the Lox-ness ($16) which was a smoked salmon sandos. There was a lot of greens it for that healthy diet! It was overall a really good sandwich too.
Lastly we munched on the Truffle Parmesan Fries ($10). For $10 it was a really generous amount of fries and parmesan! The taste of the truffle oil complemented with the parmesan cheese on the fries is just one of my favourite combinations and my favourite go-to at cafes!
Stumbled upon this cozy cafe on a Saturday afternoon! Good place to hang out with your friends, for a short work/project meeting or even for a solo date! Will definitely come back again.

Had the tasting portion for the Mentaiko Pasta with Pumpkin Rigatoni ($17.90)! Really loved the rich, creamy umami flavour and not forgetting the scallops which completed the taste. The green tobiko gave it extra colour and crunch making the pasta not jelak at all. The pasta was also cooked to perfection as well and it was a good combination that I would recommend!
We also had the full portion of the Chicken Aglio Olio ($18.90). The tenderness of the chicken, garlic flavours and chilli of this classic pasta made it extra flavourful. A must try for all Aglio Olio lovers!
Do note that the portion is a little small though, even the full portion wasn’t super filling, so do consider getting a side to fill your tummy too! And we waited really long for the food too… but I guess it’s worth the wait for good food! Will come back again maybe for lunch, hopefully the wait isn’t too long.
