70% hot chocolate ($8.00) got this during their 1 for 1 promo. it was vvv thick and rich! however we got this as takeaway and weren’t able to get cup sleeves or carriers so the cups were v hot

60% Hot Chocolate I believe most people would come here for a cup of hot chocolate that come straight from the tap. You get to choose either 45%, 60% or 70%, depending on the bitterness of chocolate you want. Sadly I find my hot chocolate wasn’t hot enough. So it get cold eventually. It is also very rich with the taste but still bearable with the bitterness at 60%.

Salted Butterscotch Brownie If you love chocolate then you would definitely love this place, and Awfully Chocolate is no stranger to most Singaporean; when you searching for decent chocolate cake here. This brownie is very rich with the flavour, mixture of salted butterscotch and chocolate.

White Chicken Rice This stall has maintained its standard even the son has taken over to help. Though it sells only white chicken the queue is never ending till sold out. Meat is succulent and tasty while rice is fragrant and yummy. Must queue to know why the queue never end.

Chicken Drumstick Rice $3.50. Hua Kee is one of the many famous stalls at Redhill market. Many foodies consider them to be one of the best Chicken rice in Singapore. I arrived at 11am and there was queue of 10 people waiting in line. It took me about 30mins before I could place my order. Hua Kee opens at 9.30am so you technically can eat chicken rice for breakfast if you come early enough. The chicken here is poached to perfection, the meat was juicy and tender.!The rice itself was fragrant and fluffy too. A great combination with their Chilli sauce. This is indeed a very good plate of chicken rice and I can see why many people are raving about it. I would definitely love to come back again!

Chicken Rice with Braised Egg ($4.20) Everything on this plate of chicken rice is super well executed; fragrant rice, tender chicken meat, black sauce with a hint of smokiness, chilli was bomb too. I think I might have just found my favourite chicken rice stall. Definitely will be back for more!

For you hainanese chicken lovers! This is another popular stall in the infamous golden mile hawker center, but it’s worth the popularity. If you’re craving for some good chicken rice, this will not disappoint!

Love their comfort food If you are looking for solid homely food, @keisukegroupsg Gyoza King is one place you have to go. Each Gyoza Set ($14.90) comes with a huge variety of dishes that will please your appetite! For the Gyoza, both the prawn and pork versions were incredibly juicy. With a slighty crispy exterior, biting into it releases meat juices that were really satisfying 😍 the meat filling within was marinated well and goes well with their ponzu sauce! You get to have side dishes as well, and both their stir fried and fried options were good. My favourites got to be the stir fried egg with chives and stir fried pork! The egg was perfectly done and I was in love with its fluffy texture. The stir fried pork had a good amount of smoky flavour, which paired well with rice 😍 Soup is also given to wash all of these down. I definitely would not say that they have the highest quality food, but it gives you a very home-cooked feeling to it. Definitely a comforting meal I will crave from time to time.

Deep Fried Tofu with Tan Tan Sauce & Stir Fried Eggplant with Miso and Pork The Gyoza Set ($13.90) comes with 5 pieces of gyoza (pork, chicken or prawn), 2 side dishes of your choice, soup and premium Koshihikari rice. There are 8 side dishes to choose from and I chose Deep Fried Tofu with Tan Tan Sauce and Stir Fried Eggplant with Miso and Pork. The fried tofu is covered in a sesame sauce with minced meat, spring onion and a drizzle of chilli oil. The eggplant, bell peppers, onion and pork are coated in a tasty miso sauce. Both dishes are savoury, flavourful and great with rice.

Pork Gyoza The Gyoza Set ($13.90) comes with 5 pieces of gyoza (pork, chicken or prawn), 2 side dishes of your choice, soup and premium Koshihikari rice. The plump and juicy pork gyoza features minced pork and tonkotsu broth in super thin dumpling skin. It goes really well with vinegar and chilli oil!

Braised Pork Rice Set | $8.50 A set that comes with braised pork rice, flavoured egg, and braised cabbage. The braised pork was fatty, which gave a nice soft melt in your mouth texture with every bite. Very nice braised flavour, and unfortunately for me it was way too fatty to my liking. I enjoyed the flavoured egg, but the braised cabbage was so soft and good! Overall, worth it for the price, though it would definitely suit people who prefer fattier pork in their luroufan! authentic taiwan bowls! we got the signature 3 bowls - oyster mee sua, sesame oil chicken rice and lu rou fan, along with brown sugar bubble fresh milk included in the set (19.9)! my favourite was the sesame oil chicken, as the rice was well flavoured and oily enough HAHA tasted like shallots and the chicken was very flavourful!! the other two were normal, tasted authentic

Yummy authentic Taiwanese food The rice bowls came in mini size but they are quite filling. The braised pork rice is yummy and we ordered the egg that goes very well with the rice. I usually don’t eat oyster or intestine but I was happily gobbling down the oyster and intestine with my mee sua. The tofu with century egg is yummy too - cold tofu with pork floss topping makes it even tastier. My only grievance is the Taiwanese sausage that costs $4.20 (a bit pricey for a few slices!). Love the decor and ambience here.

Shiok maki 😍 Finally had my craving satisfied!! Went on a Friday night and the queue was so long that we decided to queue for sushiro but ended up waiting almost an hour which was even longer :-( decided to go for late lunch on Sat and waited for about 15 mins. Loooove the shiok maki $18.80+ for the eel one. It’s sinful but really so so good. Decided to be adventurous and try the pidan maki $16.80+ but didn’t really like it. Another must order which I forgot to take pic is the salmon fish head soup (sake atama soup $10+). The portion is so big and the warm soup just makes the meal more hearty. Spent about $27 per pax as we ordered agedashi tofu $5+ as well which could have been skipped given that there was tofu and vege in the soup. A must visit, no service charge!

Pork Rib Soup This place serves Hokkien style BKT soup that uses soy sauce and herbs served in a traditional claypot. The meat is tender and fall-off-the-bone, served along with a hearty and flavourful herbal soup. This isn't a bad choice if you are looking for something light and herbal but I prefer to have soup with a stronger herbal taste and flavour 》$8 / Medium

Pigtail I didn't think this was particularly impressive, it didn't taste like too much honestly, the texture was decent but could have been more tender. Luckily the soy sauce chili was good Broth was herbal and somewhat thick, but not too exciting

Spare ribs bkt Generous amount of meat, 4 big pieces and 2 small pieces. It's reasonably tender for such a meat quality, but they don't use the best meat. The soup base is really neither herbal nor peppery, it's mainly savoury. Super easy to love but full of umami too, very addictive. Overall it's pretty alright, there's nothing else inside tho it's literally just pork ribs

Matcha Shiratama Parfait We anyhow walked into this, but they're crowded sia. I guess we had to try this, given their name. Most tables ordered some form of green tea too. It has matcha ice cream, matcha pudding, mochi balls and red bean paste. Fun but normal.

Delish Sweet &Sour Pork! Lunch Set: Sweet & Sour Pork (S) + a Half Jajangmyeon & Half Jjampong [$42++] They serve food pretty fast so that's great for h(angry) men. The sweet &sour gravy is served in a separate bowl from the plate of fried pork. The strong smell of vinegar intrudes your nasal path and goes all the way up! Jang, you'll be thinking why is this dish their signature when it smells kinda bad. But wow, when our teeth sank into the pork chop (yes they taste like pork chop coated in a thin batter!! score points for zero clots of fats, zero grease and such tender meat!), we were pleasantly amazed. The sweetness of this dish came from the pork. While the sour vinegar taste got instantly balanced out. The gravy has quite a thick yet smooth consistency (think: goooey) which coats the meat really well. The jajangmyeon has lotsa onions in them which makes it so fragrant! The texture of the noodles were al dente. I could do with even more chew thou! But hey, that's just my personal preference. My friend commented that this Jajangmyeon was the closest she could get to the ones she had in Korea. I can't even recall how Jajangmyeon in Korea tasted like.. It's been too long! Jjampong features the same noodles but in a seafood soup. The soup is quite nice and doesn't taste like the usual instant korean noodles soup base. It has a stronger seafood flavour to it. Go give this place a try, the sweet and sour pork is nothing like the typical tze char's rendition (:

Jajangmyeon & Jjampong This is good for those who don’t know to eat Jajangmyeon or Jjampong 😅 Jjampong is quite spicy. Noodle is a bit too soft for me. With some squids and mussels.

Seafood Noodles 16++ Baby octopus was quite chewy but still acceptable. Wasn't really much seafood and the soup was also meh. Taste like msg. Ya and feels like something anyone can make at home. Again, just stick to their jajangmyeon

Not Bad The char shao came highly recommended but I felt that it was a tad dry even though the seasoning was good. Loved the wantons in XO sauce though! Delightfully crispy and the springy filling was nicely seasoned. Sauce was yummy too! Noodles were al dente but the seasoning was very light (add chilli to amp up the flavour)! The free flow soup was also a bit salty btw.

Atas wanton mee with pork belly, wanton and more. Beautifully made char siew and pork belly 😋. There are two kinds of people - those who like their wanton mee with thin noodles (you mian) and those who like it a little thicker. We are starting to see more shops serving up wanton mee with springy, chewy and thicker noodles such as Eng's and Wanton Seng. Personally, both are nice as long as the noodles is Q. Radish Cake The menu described it to be a lot better than it tasted. The radish are hidden underneath the eggs but it was too mushy than the normal radish cake which made eating it a little gelak after a while. We had the roast pork and the Sichuan dumplings as well. The roast pork is a must have, too busy eating that no picture was taken 🙈
