This coffee place took over the location of the previous Dong Po Colonial Cafe. Looking at the drinks being served in modern cups, I still prefer the previous cafe with more old school feel. My hot kopi was priced at $1.70 but it didn’t give me the ‘uhm’ 😉

Always delighted to have this monthly eat-up with my ex-colleagues at places I’ve not been 😘
I like my order of Sukiyaki Set with salad, fruit & tea ($25.80). Wagyu Beef was soft & the soup was not too sweet. 😋
Tonkatsu Set ($15.80) was good too!
A-la Carte Sosu Yakisoba ($10.80) looked old, taste not bad but slightly oily 😜
A no-fuss lunch place with attentive service that is good for catching up with frenz over simple meal 😀

Finally tried this ‘famous’ Taiwanese stall that was recently opened in Suntec. I must say I was not impressed at all despite all the good reviews that I had read about. Maybe it was lunch time n we only had the lunch bowls. 🥣
My Beef Belly Rice Bowl ($11) was way too oily n the beef strips were so ‘Yoshinoya’ feel 😕
My lunch kakis were also not impressed with the Fried Chicken Rice Bowl ($9) & Pork Chop Rice Bowl ($9)

The only only item we love was the Sweet Potato Congee that was an add on at $2. Nice color n good taste

My 3rd visit to Wild Honey!
This time we intentionally skipped our love - Parisienne but ordered Tunisian ($24) and English ($28) for our mains. 😋
The grilled lafa flatbread was yummy when dipped & fully soaked in the rich spicy shakshouka. Shiok!

The standard English was however a disappointment! Scrambled eggs were too dense, sausage was tasteless & dry, toasted brioche was overly dried. Only saving grace was the fresh juicy tomato & slightly salty tender Canadian bacon. Overall we felt that this dish was served out from a microwave. Sad

We were glad to have Sweet Morning ($20) for a sweet ending. Crispy brioche french toast stuffed with grilled mango. Yum!

And this time I had the smooth Flat White ($6.50) with Oat Milk ($1) to end with the not too sweet Apple Crumble ($12) that was crispy on the outside with clean chunky apple cubes on the inside

Side note though, the room temperature of the place was rather high, we felt quite warm while dining. Wish they fix the air-con situation soon!
