10/10 Aburi Salmon Don Tried the aburi salmon don. Portion was just nice. The salmon also tastes fresh. Would definitely come back for more! Maybe the pasta next?😆

Kaisen Barachirashi Don Pretty much enjoyed this Kaisen Barachirashi Don 🍚 ($20++) at @echizensg @operettacornerbar, which features a medley of salmon & tuna sashimi 🍣, unagi, ebi 🦐, tamago 🍳, cucumber 🥒, ikura & tobiko! 🌟 . Nothing can be more gratifying that seeing this array of seafood lying atop a bed of fluffy Japanese rice! 😍 Sashimi was fresh & chunky, with a generous amount of tobiko & some popping ikura which added some umami to the bowl. 👏🏻 . Be warned that the portion is quite small (probably enough for a lady but might not be the case for a hungry man 😂). Oh yes, this came with a small serving of miso soup 🥣 too.

Good and Authentic Vietnamese Food Beef Pho Chicken Pho One of the most authentic Vietnamese food in Singapore. The broth was flavourful and portion was generous! Will definitely return again even without the deal!

Spicy Beef Noodles This is a very homely eatery and may not boast much with their decor, but their food speak for them! This was pretty good, tender beef. Pretty heavy handed with the chilli. We ordered the beef pho (chicken was sold out on Sunday around 1pm), bittergourd egg the banh cuon too! Beef pho was good. Good soup base, and tender beef too! Bittergourd egg wasn't that bitter, which meant that it was cleaned well. It also didnt come swimming in sauce so not salty at all, yay! Banh cuon was something a little different from the usual. There was mince pork wrapped in the filling, accompanied by chicken luncheon meat on the side and topped with crispy fried onions. There was a generous amount of veg by the side and a small bowl of dipping sauce. Worth a try! Given the weekend lunch crowd, staff were busy but very courteous and accommodating. Under the Radar Vietnamese Joint! Was craving for Vietnamese food and decided to scroll through Burpple Beyond for some money saving options. Came across 1-for-1 mains at Viet MaMa, which was reviewed quite positively, so that's where we went for dinner! The food here was excellent I must say! Both of our mains - Rice Vermicelli w/ Grilled Pork & Spring Roll and Beef Pho were finely executed! But the star of the night was the extra side dish we ordered - the Viet Crispy Mini Pancake. So crispy and delicious, it reminded us of a Vietnamese version of vadai. We both highly recommend ordering this! All in all, this under the radar Viet place is definitely worth checking out!

Spicy Crab Pappardelle | $24 Chilli crab pasta with cherry tomatoes, bird’s eye chillies, topped with shredded cheese and green pesto.

Crispy fish tacos $25++ The dish was served really quickly. There were 3 tacos, with crispy taco shells that tasted like nacho chips, with one piece of fried halibut fish tender in each taco, topped with some mayonnaise and mango salsa. It was overall very flavourful, with many different flavours from the mango, mayonnaise and sauce. The fish itself was fresh and tender and crispy on the outside. There were also fresh curly fries and salad which were all delicious.

Chili Crab Pasta $26+ Portion was quite generous, and the chili crab given was also very generous! Flavour wise was not too salty and spicy, tasted like tomato-base with some chili, served with pine nuts, which added a crunch to the dish.

Uni Pasta Pasta with uni, sakura ebi, ikura and truffle mushroom cream sauce. The uni was fresh and creamy which complemented very well with the al-dente truffle pasta. I like how the taste of truffle was prominent yet not too overpowering. Also not forgetting the sakura ebi that added crunch and the bursting flavours from the ikura 😍 》$47

Black Cod Soy Flaky and velvety baked black cod fillet coated with special soy marinated with slight hints of sweetness. The skin was crispy and the cod practically melts in the mouth with a rich and buttery texture 🤤 》$43

Great restaurant for a special occasion. Came here for a birthday dinner and had an amazing experience. The steak was tender and juicy. We alao ordered the scallops which were flavourful. The restaurant itself is very aesthetic, and it was quiet when we went at night. The restaurant were friendly and attentive too.

Salmon Mentai Set Got the burpple one for one and it cost us almost $35 which we felt wasn't worth the price. The salmon quality wasn't as good as I expected especially for the price paid. I feel that the quality of food here is worth $9.50 for the set instead.

Salmon Mentaiyaiki Don Back to Kei Kaisendon for the third time, first time at One Raffles Place outlet. Service crew lady was quite rude when she was taking orders, but her attitude improved after that. Ordered Burpple 1-for-1 set, each set came with 1 don (I chose the salmon mentaiyaki don - delicious!), mini salad (not that great), yakitori (yum!) and hot green tea. The entire set was very filling and $34.98 for two sets is a good deal.

gyudon - cheap and good got the basic gyudon with a soft boiled egg with the burpple deal! super affordable and portion size was sufficient for me but on the small side! love the crunch the tempura bits add, will recommend if you're in the area

Perfect for small to average eaters with its average serving size. Mentaiko was creamy and salty, going well with the beef and onions which were sweet and savoury. Most importantly, for me personally, the beef was moist - its juices made the rice flavourful, and not too plain or dry. I tend to find many rice bowls quite dry, and usually have issues finishing the rice, but it wasn’t a problem for this one (though to be fair the rice wasn’t much). I liked the combination of textures - creamy mentaiko, chewy beef and crunchy tenkasu, generously lying atop a scoop of fragrant Japanese rice. Overall a very satisfying meal - made even more affordable with the Beyond 1-for-1 deal. There’re actually waaaaaaaay (not an over-exaggeration really) more choices at the in-store menu than the ones on the Beyond menu, so do go down to the store to take a look at the options. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and easily got seats for the three of us - the top floor of the mall didn’t seem very populated at all when we went. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would come again with the deal. :)

Matcha Azuki Crossiant ($4) I felt that the pricing for this was quite economical compared to other bakery also. I didn't know that got red bean filling for crossiant. The crossiant really got the crispy and crunchy texture when in reheat. But red bean (azuki) was quite sweet and complemented with matcha (bitter taste).

French Potato ($3.40) I didn't really like the mayo sauce garnished on top of the bread and just too much for sauce. I just felt too full after eating bread finish.

Tiramisu Cake ($6) The cake just destroyed by my hands once again and even though the cashier put the tape on the paper for cake. But still the cake just toppled inside the box lol :") the taste for tiramisu just not that strong as I thought but then still having mid coffee taste. The texture for cake and cream was quite soft and moist aftertaste. But they got three types of cake (Tiramisu, Strawberry Shortcake and also Chocolate) selling over the counter.
