Great and interesting Yong Tau Fu. Chicken wings were nice and marinated well. Got the set for for $6.30. Beehoon was normal though.
Long queues expected!
Got the Burrple deal 1 for 1, $7.50 for 2 slices cakes (Thai Milk Tea & Chocolate). Cakes were alright, with a more fluffy sponge texture. The other flavours look interesting.
Closes early at 2pm on Sunday and note that they do not provide any cutlery, which they advise you to buy at the 7/11 next door. $1.50 for a packet of forks, wish they could sell eco-friendly cutlery instead.
Got Set C ($10.90++) Green Curry + Chicken. One of my friends food wasnβt hot so we had to ask the kitchen to reheat the food. Chicken was tasted like it was reheated a tad too many times. Go with Set C next time. Ambience was good though.
Not a fan of Duck Rice, but this was really good. The rice had a mild herbal flavour and the duck was tender. Got the Braised Duck Rice ($4). Portions were generous. The roasted duck was sold out at 6pm though!
Ordered both Deluxe Burger ($6.50) and Crispy Chicken Burger ($6.50) with Chilli Cheesy Beef Fries ($5). All was good! The crispy chicken patty looked dry but thankfully it was not. Deluxe Burger Patty was juicy. Fries was good and the sauce really complemented it though itβs a tad spicy. Would go back again to try the other items!!
Different specials for different days of the week!
Chicken rice ($5) was good for the price. Rice, chicken and chilli was done well. Felt that they could be more generous with the vegetables though π
.
2 Single Regular Flavour Scoop @ $3.50 with Burpple Beyond (Premium Flavours is $4.20). Sβmores was good with small chicks of biscuits that enhance the taste. Yakult was good but kind of tasted more like a yogurt/sorbet. Went at 9pm and there was not a lot of flavours, remember seeing more the previous time here π
Must have is the Herbs Roast Duck! Unexpected dish that were really good were Golden Lotus Roots w Pumpkin (Mildly Spicy) & Deep Fried Kai-Lan w Floss. Lotus was fried really well and did not have the oily aftertaste. Kai Lan was soft and complimented the floss. Soups can be skipped.
Buffet spread at $52.90++ (Weekend price). There was 1 for 1. Get the ribs in many flavour, the rest still alright. Topped up for the Peking Duck for an additional $40++, they prepared it with egg wraps, and the duck meat can be prepared in another style. Preferred the original version. Great place for large gathering and staff was attentive.
Tried the Durian hotpot for $1 (ShopBack Go Promotion). Felt that the portion was too little for 2 people so we added noodles (spaghetti) for $4++. Soup was good and the staff was attentive to refill the soup. Just that warm durian flesh is not my kind of thing π
Had the lunch set B (10.90++)! It was good, pity the portion was on the small side. Had vegetarian options as well. Place was loud and cold though π π
Got the Jajangmyeong lunch set (9.90++). Portion was huge, taste wise okay. Tried the chicken wings which was nice. Side dishes (3) wasnβt really nice. Though ambience wise, nice to hang out and chill π.
