Tamago EN has been one of the places that I really want to visit but do not have a chance to until today. Egg themed restaurant serves glorious souffle pancakes that they are famous for and we had the new creme brulee souffle pancakes (not pictured). The eggs on the omu rice is a little overcooked and has lost the optimal creamy-moisture. Overall decently done tamagoyakis and excellent souffle pancakes. Great place for desserts.

Along the same stretch as Kream and kensho and Little Part 1 cafe, Dolc patisserie is sweet tooth's heaven. These entremets and tarts are truly as delicious as they look. Pictured are the Charlotte (marscapone cheese, basil sponge and strawberry compote), Bananier ( dark chocolate mousse, caramelised bananas and crunchy feuilletine) and fruit tart (almond tart, creme patisserie and assorted fruits such as redcurrants, strawberries and blackberries). Highly recommended this dessert cafe after your lunch and brunch.

It was a rare moment for me to pass by Henri Charpentier at orchard gateway in 2020 and I knew I would want to stop and buy desserts from them. The hint of alcohol in this decadent tart was alluring in between the layers of chestnut and fresh cream. The pate sucre was buttery and crispy. A pang of regret not getting the $25 souffle cheesecake that was displayed.

Sweet umami prawn broth with big head prawns and prawn paste chicken chop served with your noodle choice. The takeaway packaging was really compact and separates the noodle from the soup to prevent sogginess.

We ordered the signature kaya toast set and curry noodles. It was a good hearty breakfast filled with Singaporean flavours. The curry with the noodles were legit spicy and not too thick with coconut milk. It was a warm comforting bowl. The kaya toast set was quite an expected experience and hard to go wrong. Within the Jalan Besar vicinity, so if you are near aperia mall be sure to drop by the vanguard campus to check this place out.

Kki, it is good for you to be back again. Although we walked in without reservation and could only select the remaining entremets, it is still a glorious experience. The pot of plant named "J" - black sesame, matcha and yuzu was so intricately made and visually pleasing, akin to a real pot of plant. Marronier was a cute round chestnut dessert that has awesome smooth creamy texture. We will remember to make reservations the next time.

Bolognese crepe which was packed with wholesome ingredients such as minced veal, beef/pork bolognese and gruyere, cheddar and egg turns out to be my favourite order.

The burnt caramel crepe with butter is a more back to basics offering that is drenched in burnt caramel with a slab of butter. A sweet treat.

We had a sumptuous meal from caffe cicheti. We ordered-pollo alla diavolla, branzino, iberico pork, truffle fries and 2 pastas: pesto and arriabata. The highligght for me would be the pollo-Grilled chicken in devil style that is salty and strongly herbaceous. The pastas were also equally delicious. Not pictured is the tiramisu which was one of the best desserts that I've had from an Italian establishment.

Have attempted to queue for this twice but failed. When I tried this, I totally understand the adoration for this. It is just SO good. The highlight would probably be the large chunks of Char Siew and the delicious sweet chilli that goes so well with the noodles. Yes. I will brace the queue again for the wanton mee.

I finally tried the stall that went viral years ago for its salted egg hokkien mee. The sambal version in which the pork strips and seafood were stir fried with the sweet chilli was glorious for every chilli and spice lovers. The wok hei from the noodles was splendid as well.

I was so excited when I saw how the middle of the chocolate cake collapsed into a pool of chocolate lava on instagram. Ordered from a home baker: search yanagicakes.sg on IG for $40 (additional $10 for delivery), this is every chocolate lovers dream. The dark bitter decadence resembles 70% valrhona Guanaja that is not overly sweet, rich and luscious.

Stumbled across this stall via Food Panda App. Pleasantly surpised by the generous serving of thick Char siews and minced meat. The noodles are decently flavoursome too. The not-so-nice thing about the lunch was the empty fried wanton skins. We ordered the fried hand made minced fish cakes as a side and those were pretty delicious.
