Haha. 😂 This #Ispahan #SwissRoll 🌹🍰 was super nice, soft and creamy - I don't normally like these but circumstances led me near this #cafe and I saw these beautiful #cakes on #Instagram before so thought I'd try one. 🤗 Cheered me up a little, but as with material things, just temporarily. But anyway, we all like to have #pretty things in our lives sometimes, right? 😜
You can't always control what happens to you but you can control how you react to it. And I think I'm not reacting that well to certain circumstances but I'll try harder. #Cake and #coffee certainly help though! ☺️

Ok ok it's because I had a visitor from the mainland for lunch today @derricktdc ✌️😂 Tried the famous #WhiteBeehoon from Sembawang (thankfully didn't have to go all the way there though hehe) and I rather liked it, especially the gooey thick #yummy sauce! The rest of the #food there was pretty good too, mmm. 😊

🙂 It's quite a walk from my office but I get to #exercise and absorb some nature (well, sort of) while buying #lunch, which is such a wonderful experience (and doesn't take too long). 😍 Anyway, what I took away to #eat today was one of my faaaavourite #localfood - the unassuming and small but very tasty #otah! 😋
4 very interesting flavours to be exact - Scallop, Pink Salmon, Cream Cheese & Corn ($2.20 each) and Petai & Anchovy ($1.70). They were quite fascinating for the palate, especially the cream cheese (nice contrasting flavours) and petai (rather #umami) ones, though I still prefer the usual Prawn or Squid banana leaf ones from #LeeWeeBrothers. Aaaaand they're open 24 hours lol so you can get some anytime you have a #craving... 😮😂

😖 But it seems, you can't eat away your problems. Unless it's ice cream. Always choose #icecream, it won't let you down. 🙂 Better yet if it's a super #lowcalorie but still #delicious (say whaaaat?!) one. Yes, seriously. It's only 390 calories a PINT. 🙌 Sounds too good to be true? It also happens to be #highprotein, #lowfat... I am seriously sold. It's creamy and has the same consistency as regular ice cream and with great taste too, I loooove it! ❤️ There's a slight smell of #whey at the very start but after a few seconds or even the next sitting, you don't notice it anymore. The #chocolate is super rich and dark and the #durian is really full of flavour... Actually, this my favourite combi of ice cream flavours to have! 🍦😍 I think I'll blog more about it soon. I'm super impressed by @heytea's fresh, light and fluffy, savoury cheese topping and #refreshing, fragrant #fruit and #tea blend. And there was SO much pulp... I only intended to get a small one but ended up with the bigger one and polished off every single drop. I kid you not. So damn good, even with 0% sugar. 🌶️🌶️ The #taste that's taken #Singapore by storm the last few years (courtesy of HDL and mala xiangguo I think), #mala #hotpot is also now available in a self-heating form at supermarkets (around SGD$5.95)! 😊 It was pretty fun, kinda messy and a little troublesome but quite easy to assemble (and took a while to heat - 15 minutes), but was pretty #yummy (and #SPICY woo). 😋 Great for those nights at home when you're #hungry, got no supper kakis and too lazy to cook... 😂
