Great Pho hidden near Lavender MRT.

Chanced upon @super_ngon while playing with Google Pay Singapore’s ordering function. Tried Pho from 4 different places recently(i’m not done yet) and this unassuming shop that locates under a hdb serves my personal favourite thus far.

Cozy place with a simple menu & great food.

Set B (Pho • Roll • Iced Tea) $12

Went to Rappu (by @thefeatherblade group) yesterday and it was a great experience.

Will talk about other items another time but today I wanna talk about the highlight of our meal, Chutoro Roll. A seasonal item available in the month of February and isn’t on the menu (yet, I hope). Both my friend & I agree that this is our favourite among everything and that is really saying something because there wasn’t one we didn’t enjoy.

Don’t be fooled by the thin-looking Chutoro, topped with pickled cucumber (I hate cucumber but this was good). It was melt-in-your-mouth with a burst in flavours.

Only available until 10 February 2021, Wednesday.

Ondeh-Ondeh is a green-coloured ball of rice cake filled with palm sugar and coated with grated coconut. I love Ondeh-Ondeh but even more so for Ondeh-Ondeh flavoured cookie when it's done right.

This right here is CNY Special, Ondeh-Ondeh ✨Lava✨ Cookie, a green-coloured cookie filled with palm sugar and dusted with grated coconut. Topped with ice cream of your choice, mine is Milo Dinosaur. I had fear that this combination would be overly sweet but thank goodness, It wasn't.

They have one of the best cookie around, this CNY Special did not disappoint.

Dan Dan Mian lover? 🙋🏻

What I love about Dan Dan Mian is the spicy sauce and peanut flakes. This is a place that specialise in Dan Dan Mian and it was good. There were 3 vinegars you can choose from to modify the taste, namely Spicy, Orange & Kelp. My personal favourite is Kelp.

They have a simple menu, for Dan Dan Noodles, you only have to pick between Zero, Medium or Very spicy. For reference, I picked Medium and it was alright, a comfortable spiciness but I might go for Very Spicy the next time if I’m feeling it.

Don’t forget to save some sauce at the end to mix with the small portion of rice. There are little seatings, do prepare to wait.

No secret that I’ve been into Vietnamese food lately, more Vietnamese food posts will be coming soon.

I actually went in with ordering Pho (pronounced as ‘fuh’) in mind, however, I ended up ordering Bún (pronounced as ‘boon). This Bún was dry rice vermicelli topped with ingredients and sauce on the side, kinda presented like a salad noodles.

What I have here is Soft Shell Crab Bún because I’m a sucker for SSC, it did not disappoint as I quite enjoyed this dish.

Didn’t know such clean looking & tasting burger can still be so flavourful.

Each set has generously included 1 side & 2 drinks(1 hot 1 cold). Cold drink can be picked from a wide range of selection, and hot drink is able to get a Latte to go. Picked sweet potato fries for my side and I wasn’t disappointed.

I had Sommernacht burger, which is made up of ingredients like:
Sourdough / Multigrain / Naked
Beef Patty
Brie
Rocket leaves

Different from regular Jjamppong where seafood is one of the main ingredients. Army stew-styled Jjamppong, with ingredients you often see in army stew such as luncheon meat, sausage and such. Huge portion, nice soup, great noodles. Spiciness wise, it wasn’t notable.

Finishing my meal at @tamoyasg with their freshly fried tempura. They also accept order for unavailable tempura over the payment counter, subjected to ingredients availability.

Presenting to you......noodle knot instead of noodle pull. 😅

This place is my go-to for udon. Udon texture was excellent, matches with their flavourful broth very well. Making this udon place second to none in my heart.

Back with my Mee Siam adventure! 🥢

I wonder if the shop name came after shortlisting the shop? As the name suggests, the shop does exist in a cozy corner with little seats. Not that I have to wait long for a seat, as many are takeaway orders.

A satisfying Mee Siam! Gravy was thick, chilli does pack a punch. Though I personally prefer a more sour base, will request for more lime the next time.

Can’t wait to have my next Mee Siam!
