Glean 2/2 - Smoked Pork Carbonara The 𝗦𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗮 ($18) came with a runny egg that provided the requisite egg porn. The savoury bacon and al dente spaghetti, tossed in the creamy sauce and mixed with the egg, was exquisite. Finally the coffees we ordered (𝗞𝗼𝗽𝗶 $1.80, 𝗜𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗞𝗼𝗽𝗶 𝗖 $3.40) were abhorrent. Any random 2-in-1 would taste infinitely better. But go for the pastas, they’re definitely worth a try.

Glean 1/2 - Mala Chilli Crab Pasta Popped by Glean Cafe because I saw they have 1-for-1 pastas on Burpple Beyond. Although the decor looks pretty, with lots of hanging lights and greenery, I doubt I’d be returning due to the paucity of options on the menu. With only two pastas and three Asian-style dishes on the menu, we took literally one second to decide what to order. Tbh both pastas were well executed and we had no complaints. The 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗯 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮 ($20), with angel hair pasta smothered in a reddish sauce, looked unappetising. But the crab meat was fresh and sweet, while the spicy, numbing sauce was fabulously fragrant.

Wagyu Don Ordered the most expensive Wagyu Don on a Saturday. With Burpple, I get the Anago Don free. And I can choose two items of side dishes and pay for only one. I chose Chawanmushi and Miso Soup. Quite a good place for lunch with a partner, using Burpple Beyond.

Lemon cake was chefs kiss Don’t be deceived by the sweet appearance of the lemon loaf just because it is topped with icing cream and petals. The sourness from the lemon hits you the moment it enters your mouth! Thanks to the fluffiness and the additional step of warming the cake, it melts in your mouth and allows for the flavour to kick in immediately. It was almost like eating cotton candy! the best thing on the menu I had the Elvis ($11) which had PB, raw cacao, banana blended together to form a thick & creamy smoothie bowl, topped with house-made vanilla granola. Also topped with raw peanut butter cubes which were to die for!! The top layer was rich pb & choc, and the bottom sticky crunchy layer was a mixture of crushed cashews, pitted dates & coconut.

change to gluten free toast!!!! was convinced by a friend to change the buns of the Portobello Mushroom Burger ($18) to Gluten-free Toast (+$3). It’s LIFE CHANGING SERIOUSLY. As usual, their potato chunks taste amazing esp when paired with their housemade mayo.

STANDARD DROP, STAFF DONT CARE Risotto was just severely undercooked !!!!! Told at least 2 STAFFS and they said errrr ok …. HOWEVER NO ACTION BEING DONE…. UNACCEPTABLE FOR A F&B restaurant. TRULY the worst food ever. Won’t even pay a penny for the food.

false advertising They said they don't sell the seafood bucket anymore but they did not update burpple. It was not peak hour or public holiday either. Since it's so far away once you go there you have no choice but to eat the buffet which seems to be the tactic they are using. The buffet was expensive and the taste was not very good, none of the seafood was marinated just raw seafood. The location is nice though & service was good.

teriyaki chicken don $19.90 decent portion and taste. worth it only if you have burpple beyond 1-for-1. miso soup is rather weak. spacious restaurant and nice ambience to have your meal and chill afterwards. friendly staff. (this space used to be Escape which served buffet but Escape has moved to Level 6 and no longer serve buffet)

For 1-for-1 Teriyaki Chicken Don/ Fish Katsu (Weekdays) (save ~$21.90) SOCIEATY is the new multi-concept restaurant by Les Amis Group, featuring the best of the group’s favourite offerings, all under one roof! A place where diners can look forward to mixing and matching their cuisines, try out their Teriyaki Chicken Donburi Set ($19.90) which includes teriyaki boneless chicken thigh, onsen egg, Japanese pickles, plus a side of miso soup and refillable salad! Make sure to try the Fish Katsu Don Set ($23.90) of halibut filet served with Japanese rice!

Mui kee Porridge This is a very wholesome meal. I always find comfort in Mui Kee frog legs porridge. Although Mui kee is famous for its parrot fish porridge, the frog legs porridge is also pretty well done.

Delicious rolls! Love the wrap they use for the rolls, tastes like prata and is nothing like any other kebab or burrito wrap I've tasted before. Tried their chicken tikka, rendang chicken and butter chicken before and all 3 flavours were delicious with generous servings of chicken. Would definitely be back to try the other flavours.

Chicken Tikka and Butter Chicken Bowls Ordered rice bowls instead of rolls (although that is their specialty 😂) because we were hungry. The portion is also good! They don't skimp on the meat. The bowls also taste awesome. Chicken tikka was just a little spicy so those who can't take spiceness can try! Staff were also friendly! Will be back to try the rolls next time!

IT TASTES AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS!! Got the butter chicken bowl & chicken tikka bowl and they were both amazing. Both chicken bowls were really authentic and the rice was very fluffy & fragrant. You can choose to add egg & cheese to the bowl as well. Glad we found this store through Burpple and even without Burpple, we will be back for more. The staff was also really friendly.

For 1-for-1 Main Dish Mon-Thu (save ~$29) These sinful Mediterranean-fusion dishes are so tasty you may not realise they are meat-free. Highly recommended by Burppler Jasmine Lim is the decadent Masala Eggplant ($29) stuffed with chickpeas, capsicum, ricotta and spices, baked with mozeralla cheese and served with a generous dollop of yoghurt sauce. Pasta lovers, get drunk on the intoxicating Absolut ($28) that features creamy penne pasta flamed with Absolut vodka. Amazing Pao Fan at MacPherson The Seafood Pao Fan has a rich broth, fresh seafood and shrimp, and a generous portion. The Supreme Prawn Noodles feature big, sweet, juicy shrimp with a deliciously savory soup base. Ngoh Hiang also must try it goes really well with the pao fan. Even though we had to queue, it was totally worth it🔥 haha!

Must try! Amazing Ngoh Hiang The food here is really delicious! Their Ngoh Hiang is absolutely amazing. We had the Seafood Pao Fan and Supreme Prawn Noodles, which came with generous portions and fresh ingredients. Highly recommended!

Flavourful Prawn Noodle Soup Zhup Zhup’s prawn noodles were packed with flavour, with a rich, umami broth that really stood out. The prawns were impressively fresh, and paired perfectly with the springy, well-cooked noodles. We also tried the seafood pao fan, and its soup base was flavourful and comforting, making it a great complement to the meal.
