Service not great. Char siew Soh is cold. Still needs to be improved. Uncle and auntie not friendly like the ones I see in Sheng Siong.

Think I better bring my Valentine go the new Sheng Siong buy frozen char siew Soh and cook for her than So Good char siew Soh next time…

Its either I had Massive Arms that I managed to scrap the entire claypot base or the rice at the bottom was too thick… Golden Mile one is definitely better. 😬

Uncle and auntie were very very kind. Family and I went out for lunch there on a Saturday afternoon, uncle taking orders was very approachable, cleared the table and even cleaned the table for us to sit as we could not find seats for 5 together. It had been a long time since I had received such great service from hawkers. Hawkers have long hours and little rest, I truly appreciate them having still smile, give us good and affordable food and going the extra mile.

Food was great. My tummy is very happy. Always my go to store when I visit Seah Im.

Hello, I’m posting it on Holland Drive Market (instead of the Maxwell branch) as I know this is the main branch and I am a regular here, and the boss is usually at this branch.

My day started off with a family breakfast at my place. My wife jio-ed me to eat ruji BCM as we miss ruji meatballs since Holland Drive’s branch been closed for 2 months for reno. So we decided to come here, jio-ed our families to the Maxwell branch. Hyping them up to the fabulous ruji BCM.

We took an hour to travel here from across Singapore. Upon reaching here, Maxwell is crowded as always. We still decided to queue for ruji.

At the stall, we ordered 5 bowls in total, splitting 3-2 bowls by 2 different people (wife and me) to queue so as not to confuse the 2 uncles. Wife ordered 3 bowls - 1 (1) and 2 (2)s. Lol. When we saw the (2), we immediately called it out to the uncles that (2) should be all meatballs and not 2 fishball 1 meatball. (See the photo!!! Its meatball for (2)) the uncles told us its standard. Wa the uncle cooking even screamed and scolded my wife saying, “if want all meatball must say!!!” Grr… what even. After scolding and mumbling, they angrily changed the 2 fishballs to 2 meatballs. Ok cool, told wife to go back to our seats first.

Next is my turn, I ordered the 2 bowls now. Explicitly told them what I want in a stern tone so they don’t guailan me, ALL MEATBALLS!!! Uncle didnt had enough meatballs so he opened the fridge on the right to pour some meatballs out. Unfortunately, one fell onto the floor. My heart skipped a beat. 💔 but it shattered into a thousand pieces when the meatball was kicked around, and I saw the counter uncle picked it up and, went to wash it and pass it to the cooking uncle!!! 💔💔💔 i still saw that the cleaning standard sign was A!!! Omg. 😱😱😱

The meatball is probably in my tummy now and I’m psycho-ing myself the germs is boiled with hot water and disappeared. 🫠

Anyway i’m spending 20mins of my family time to write this review with a hope for improvement. I hope uncles be more customer obsessed, and also be more careful when preparing food because I love ruji BCM and cant wait for Holland Village Drive Market to grand opening again tomorrow (or Tues since Ruji is closed tomorrow).

Thank you for reading.

This is my 2nd time writing for So Good. The first time I was at Capitol where I was told that when my char siew soh was brought to my table, I cant request for it to be made hot.

This time, I visited and brought my date here to So Good at 100AM to dine in and enjoy a high tea tea break. I learnt my lesson and told the cashier that I wanted my char siew soh to be made hot. She told me to tell the person at the food pick up point instead. So I did, they promised to make hot for me. When I received my char siew soh, it was cold like a tuna. 🫠

I also wanted to order an ala cart char siew soh for my date. The cashier auntie told me to go opposite to buy which i’m ok. So i asked whether can heat it up together with the one i’m having. NO cannot… 🤯 but thankfully, my date only miss out on a cold char siew soh.

I wish So Good can be more customer obsessed.

Another love letter… I was at Jurong Point Kopitiam for dinner on 6th Dec at 7.15pm. Menus on the screen and menus on the table are different! This caused the cashier to mix orders up very easily. Luckily I checked on the counter.

However, even thought I checked, I ordered Pork yet was served Beef? I am a holy Buddhist and do not take Beef at all… really disappointed. Beware!!!

Dear So Good, I’m writing this love letter on top of the feedback I have written to you. I hope you appreciate it.

I am at So Good Char Chan Tang (Capitol) on 19 Nov 2022, 3.30pm for tea. I have ordered a Polo bun set + 1 char siew soh. Was very excited when my number was called, 8611.

At collection, I took my food and went back to my seat. Before even sitting down, I was reminded that the last time when I was here, the food wasn’t heated up. So I took the char siew soh back to the counter to request politely for them to heat it up for me. I’m very sad to say that a lady scolded me and told me that food served can’t be heated up anymore. I found this very rude and it hurt my feelings. She told me that the food displayed there is HOT (in mandarin)…

So I went back to my sit with my cold char siew soh and wrote the feedback and this love letter for 10 minutes. Now, my Hong Kong nai cha is cold now. 😭😭😭 i hope i can come claim a Polo bun set + char siew soh next time I visit a So Good outlet.

I am someone who always patronised So Good Bakeries and Restaurants at 100AM, Republic Plaza and others to support So Good. I also always recommend So Good to my friends and families, always have great stories to share. So I’m very disappointed by this.

Let me be clear, this is a love letter. Not a break up letter (yet). Look forward to hearing from you. ❤️

Today is V day. I cant believe writing a love letter to springleaf prata instead of my V.

Late for morning openings - waited 7mins before they opened their doors. Waited another 30mins for food (i was the second customer, the first customer only ordered for a family of 5, 3 kids). I ordered 3 pratas too...

Processed delivery orders while having customers waiting in shop

Cold teh tarik. Rubbery prata like eating my own car tyre.

Had another group of aunties complained about the cold tea and had the tea remade. The tea came back cold again... they told the waiter don’t bother changing liao lol.
