Had the opportunity to dine at One Prawn and Co recently and it was a great experience! I liked that it was an open kitchen concept and allowed the diners to get up close and personal with the kitchen preparation and cooking process. We started with the sour dough bread with seaweed butter and honey, which was buttery, creamy and yet with a subtle and distinct seaweed taste and flavor. We also had the monkfish skewer which we shared. It was my first time having monkfish and I liked the grilled flavors of the skewer. We then ordered an Octopus assam pedas hummus to share and this was the first time I saw assam pedas presented this way! I liked how it was spicy yet done in the way of hummus, which complemented the grilled octopus well. For our mains, we ordered the grilled swordfish and the ribeye steak. Both didn’t disappoint! Great experience at one prawn and co! Would recommend this for date nights and chill outs with friends and family!!

Had the opportunity to dine at Zhup Zhup last week and it didn’t disappoint! Especially loved how you can customize the ingredients in your prawn noodles! Paired mine with prawns and the shabu shabu pork which made for a light yet filling meal! The ngoh hiang platter was yummy too! Dipped the round fritter in the prawn noodle soup and it was such a burst of flavor! Would recommend!!
I had the opportunity to try the dinner menu at Ingleside and it didn’t disappoint! We started with the trio of seasonal snacks; tuna tartare, sweet prawn and truffle brioche. Each dish was well prepared and seasoned with their in house fermented vinegars and I wanted seconds! I ordered the Hungarian duck breast which was dry aged for 7 days and paired with their in-house lacto blueberry bordelaise. The dish was well seasoned and balanced, and the duck wasn’t gamey at all! For the dessert, I had the smoked brownie, which was a good mix of sweet and savory, topped with coconut cream and crushed hazelnuts. Overall, a lovely and pleasant dining experience!
Had the opportunity to dine at Meadesmoore last week. We were served the Pork Crackling with salsa. The slightly tangy salsa paired well with the savory pork crackling and helped whet my appetite for the main course, which included the signature Mac and cheese and Meadesmoore cut. The Meadesmoore platter was made up of 3 different cuts and flavor profiles, with different marbling levels and made for a very interesting burst of flavors! The signature Mac and cheese was very yummy and I liked how the truffle worked well with the different cheeses! Dessert was a sweet ending to the meal and made for an enjoyable and pleasant dining experience!
I had the pleasure of trying the 10 course omakase menu. I liked how the ambience of Miraku was inviting and also how the service staff were attentive and service excellent. Each item on the menu was well prepared and the ingredients used were very fresh! I especially liked the wagyu beef chawamushi that paired well with the smooth texture of the chawamushi. I also enjoyed the flounder sushi and the uni sushi, which didn’t have the usual weird aftertaste but was smooth and pleasant in taste! Overall, a pleasant dining experience that I would definitely recommend!
