Rang the restaurant for a booking and were greeted in Korean to our pleasant surprise. Authentic, fresh, value for money Korean seafood! 🐟

We ordered the 2 pax set for 3 and boy were we stuffed 😮‍💨 Eating the set transported us back to Korea and each item was really good! Although pricey, sashimi in Singapore isn't cheap. The sashimi is fresh and the quality of Korean food served here is hard to find in Singapore. The set includes:

- Abalone Porridge

Tip: Loved how we could cook the leftover sashimi in the stew so even if you don’t eat raw food, you can still give this a try!

Spaetzle is a German egg noodle (think something like pasta) and this was done in a Cacio e Pepe style. We loved the toppings of the crispy kale and fried onions but overall, nothing to shout about. There was a lack of carbs on the menu and this was one of the only options.. 😣

The steak itself was great, but the sides were lackluster. The beef was perfectly cooked (ordered medium rare) and had this smokiness to it. 🥩 The fermented soy sauce reminded us of a similar sauce that we love at Cloudstreet and is the perfect complement for the steak 😋 however the potato scallop was overly salted :(

Sweetbread is essentially the animal’s thymus and pancreas and although that may sound off putting to some, this was not a bad rendition of it! 🌮 Consume it quickly since it’ll get tougher once cold. 7/10

We are reminded of the Chicken Liver Waffle previously served at Cheek by Jowl (which chef closed to open FOOL). This reimagination was mind blowing 🤯 The sweetness of the date and the madeira wine complemented the funkiness of the chicken liver and every bite was amazing 🤤. 9/10

Best eaten all together! The leeks are sweet and tangy. When eaten together with the crispy fragrant garlic chips, the texture juxtaposes the fluffy texture of the ricotta and cauli purée so nicely! On its own, the agnolotti is understated, but all together the dish is a standout! We would have preferred if there was a bit more bite to the agnolotti but overall this is still the dish of d night 🤩 We couldn’t get enough of the purée and wiped our bowls clean 😋 8.5/10

The flavor combination is heavenly and the tart base had the perfect thickness. It can get cloying if you’re the only one eating since the chocolate is that rich though🥵 We recommend sharing between 2 to 3 people 👯. 7.5/10

Well balanced lil noms of a bread 🍞! We enjoyed the sweet jelly that cuts through the fattiness and gaminess of the foie gras. Also the foie gras was practically superior butter, hella airy, it was like eating a cloud ☁️. Would prefer the bread to be more toasted for some crunch to make the perfect bite! 8/10!

The Gribiche, Le Bon Funk’s mustard forward herby egg emulsion, complements the tender beef tongue well, and the proportions were perfect. Very generous with the beef tongue which was tender and super yummy… How to eat: use ur hands and eat fast or it’ll become soggy! Side note: A lil too messy for a first date in our opinion but great for sharing after you get past the first few 😉 8/10

Skip the tartare… luxurious mouthfeel from the yolk but why’d they put mushroom in the name when cannot taste 😤 Texture wise, the chips are well fried, though the oil taste was overpowering. The addition of hot sauce on the side does help to round out the flavour profile but for its price… 🥵 5.5/10
