Went to try the Swee Guan hokkien mee. Ordered the 8 dollar portion. As expected, this hokkien mee is more on the wet side and you will be slurping down the noodles. However, the lack of pork slices makes me feel the version lacks some oomph. The prawns are huge though. Overall, 3/5 rating.

Since I am at Teck Gee square market and food centre, gonna have to try the famous hokkien mee there as well! Ordered the 5.50 portion. The hokkien mee certainly lives up to its reputation. Prawns are fresh and of a decent size, pork slices are big but not a lot though. The prawn stock taste great and the noodle texture is not too soft or hard. A 4.5/5 rating!

Throwback to yesterday's Hokkien Mee! I simply love hokkien mee that is more on the 'wet' side. The pork is in slightly bigger slices too. Comes with pork lard as well and the chilli is the sambar chilli type. 4 dollars per packet. Like how they package it in a zi char style box. The shop name is simply called "Hokkien Fried Prawn Noodle"

Oh man I love the sauce and the soup! The sauce has a right mix of saltiness and sweetness. The meat is tender too but my serving had no duck skin though. The pricetag of 6 dollars is rather expensive though. 4/5 rating.

One of their best dishes in my opinion. Compliments well with a bowl of rice. 4/5 rating!

Seafood is fresh and serving portion is good. 3.5 rating.

Ordered the 4 dollar portion and comes with a good amount of cockles. Not too oily for me and the noodle texture is great as well. This stall seems to always have a long queue so if you want to eat, you must be prepared to queue for it. Overall, 4/5 rating.

The yam paste is smooth and slightly sweet. The sweet potatoes and ginkgo nuts are great too. The price is 3.00 dollars for one serving. Overall, a 4/5 rating. A must try if you like to eat yam paste!

Boy I love how it tastes and it is not soggy at all. 1.90 dollars for 5 pieces. Better than mcdonalds nugget in my opinion. 4.5/5 rating.

However, I feel the salted egg yolk sauce could be thicker as the fish overpowered the taste of the salted egg yolk sauce. Also, the chilli crab sauce seems like lack the fragrance and crab taste like the sauce in zi char chilli crab dishes. The onion rings and French fries were fried well in my opinion. Not soggy at all.

Overall, it was great to see young hawkers starting up their business. I just feel the sauces for the fish and chips could be improved. 2.5/5 rating.
