Back at my favourite Japanese tendon place, and the new seasonal menu is good! The seaweed batter was tasty & crispy and you dont feel jelat even after finishing the entire bowl! The variety of seafood in the bowl was great as well!

Thinking of where to visit before the year end to meet up and gather with your friends?
Time to check out Walking On Sunshine, a cafe located at orchard central with beautiful interior design and floral decorations in the cafe. It gives me a really welcoming and comfortable feeling whenever I enter the cafe.

Walking on Sunshine serves a wide variety of food ranging from mains, pasta, desserts such as waffles and souffle, as well as a wide variety of drinks such as coffee, flower tea, cleanse juice, fresh ade and latte.
Definitely a recommended place in town area to chill with your friends/ colleagues/family.

It’s been quite some time since I last had a satisfying bowl of laksa. Recently happened to be around The Marketplace @ 58 and tried this bowl of laksa from Amy’s Laksa. Reasonably priced at $2.50, the laksa is simply simple & good and will definitely go for another bowl during my next visit. I would recommend for those who are very hungry to consider ordering two bowls of the laksa as the portion size is slightly smaller.

Happy new year eve to everyone! It’s my first time trying a boba toast ($2.50) and I personally like it a lot! Initially, I was expecting it to be sweet and jelat, but surprisingly it was not! As a fan of cheese, the cheese within the toast goes well together with the pearls.Definitely something that I would go for again if I were to revisit @amazinghoki
@amazinghoki is a hidden gem located within 2-3 mins walk from toa payoh interchange and hdb hub. As the name of the shop represents 福气,which means a kind of blessing.
It was also our 福气 to be invited and hosted by the friendly @amazinghoki team ! Will be sharing more their drinks in my upcoming post!

🍽 Dong Po Pork $19.80++

Enjoy the tipsy surprise xiao long bao by starting from the beer one, followed by red wine with cheese, chinese wine, whiskey and lastly the cognac dumpling. My personal favourites would be the beer and red wine with cheese xiao long bao, the xiao long bao is juicy and it is wrapped in a thin and delicate dumpling skin.

Personally, I have also enjoyed the BBQ pork pastry in Shanghai style. The pastry is flavourful and the bbq pork is tender! Definitely will not mind going for more of it!

Visiting Lau Wang Claypot Delights has became one of my family’s weekly affair. We were all impressed by the claypot dishes, and the generous portion yet pocket friendly food! It is especially shiok to enjoy them while they are sizzling hot with a bowl of plain rice!

简单是一种美德, definitely describes the plate of butterfly blue pea rice nasi lemak that I recently had @simple.dailyfood2 . The store is definitely a hidden gem located at CT Hub 2.

Finally visited the store and we were impressed by the har cheong chicken. Freshly prepared upon order, the chicken chop marinated in homemade prawn paste was succulent, cripsy and tasty!

Definitely looking forward to visit the store again to try the other options such as the Special Simple’s Noodle (available on Tuesday & Thursday) and their clean series is also available for those who prefers something healthier! Whereas for the protein, the rendang chicken and the Japanese Kabayaki Unagi seems like something which I would enjoy.

Note: The store only operates on Mon - Fri (11am to 3pm). Be there early to avoid disappointment!

December is a month of joy & giving. I have recently visited @crossingscafe with a few foodies, and personally what has impressed me was the cozy environment & friendly staff. Although it was raining on a Sunday afternoon, what I could felt was the love and passion from the food prepared and served.

Crossings Cafe is a social enterprise which creates employment opportunities for the disadvantaged such as collaborating with students and graduates from Assumption Pathway School to intern or work at the cafe.
The cafe serves yummy comfort food at affordable prices and the profits go to charity.

Personally, I have enjoyed the Franciscan Burger ($19), the hand moulded beef patty is succulent, it is made from Friar John-Paul Tan OFM’s secret receipe and the burger is topped with lettuce, sliced tomatoes and smoked cheddar cheese.

The signature black pepper chilli crab fettucine is also an interesting dish that one should try when visiting the cafe. The spicy level is just nice for me and the mixture of black pepper and chilli crab is an interesting combination!

Do check out the cafe and enjoy a meal with your loved ones!
Thank you @crossingscafe for the invitation and the warm hosting!

Looking for a healthy & yummylicious meal? Check out @madmexsingapore located at Marina Bay Financial Tower 3!

We have tried the naked buritto (small: $8.9, regular: $11.5),quesadilla ($11.5), tacos ($10.9) and sum our meal with chewy churros ($5.9)!

To order, firstly choose a style! You can opt for either buritto, naked buritto, tacos or quesadilla & etc!

Secondly, choose a filling of your choice! You may get the meat such as beef barbacoa (+$0.5) to taste full eight hours slow cooked tender beef with real ancho chillies and aromatic spices, or you can select other options such as chicken pollo or chicken chorizo. For vegan or vegetarian, you may consider the veracruz tofu option (originated from a state in Mexico includes ingredients such as olives and parsley).

Thirdly, select the Salsa spicy level (ranging from mild to spicy). We have tried the medium level and find that the spicy level is tolerable! After ordering, just wait for awhile and you are ready to collect your meal!

The churros @madmexsingapore is really good! Both @hojiakstory & I love the chewy churros and the premium belgian chocolate sauce!

Thank you @sixthsensepr & @madmexsingapore for having us! Thank you @ashleyoms for sharing with us the naked buritto!

Thinking of where to jiak holiao during the weekend? Perhaps it’s time to check out @imperialindulgence which is located at Basement one of @chinatownpointsg . This is my first time trying terracotta pastry and I am certainly impressed by the crispiness of the Jingzhou Empress Pastry (故宫皇后饼). The first flavour which I had tried is the Golden Pork flavour which is filled with succulent minced meat which has been marinated for 48 hours! Just by eating the minced meat within the pastry makes the pastry really flavourful.

While around 4 hours later, I decided to try a piece of it cold without heating it up! I was surprised that the pastry itself remains crispy and the Hae Bee Hiam flavour concludes to be one of my favourite out of the four flavours! There are also flavours such as Salted egg chicken floss and gula malacca flavour for those who prefers something sweeter! During our conversation with Roy, he mentioned that he went on a family trip to Jingzhou recently and really enjoyed the pastry itself and decided to learn from the shifus while including a SG version!

In a palace, apart from food, we must not forget having a cup of great drink! Wu Ze Tian Mountain Dates Milk is definitely a drink that goes well with the pastry! It comprises of red dates and natural rock sugar which is a healthier drink as compared to the bubble tea! I have tried the wu ze tian’s jealousy red dates matcha milk and love that the taste is just nice for my non sweet tooth with the natural fragrance from the red dates and rock sugar!

Currently, @imperialindulgence is having a promotion, you can simply buy one and get the second item at 50% off!

Thank you @baking_taitai for extending the invite & @imperialindulgence for the warm hosting & yummy treats!
