Truffle pasta was to die for The cafe is located at the basement of maplewood, by the poolside. Ambience was quiet and it really allowed me to just chill with my friend. Ordered the truffle pasta which was to-die-for. Was rich in flavour and portion was just nice.

Good burpple deal Love this place cause it’s a legit burpple deal. And the food quality is good. Love coming here to chill and hang out with friends. Their happy hour promotions are also pretty good!

Service is good, staff patiently explained the deal and answered all our queries well. Food is good, has a warmer provided that kept our food hot for >1h. Happy hour for drinks till 8pm is a bonus! Frozen Kirin / Guinness / Highball . Recommended to reserve seat, especially during fri/weekend. 40 sticks total was a little too much for 2 pax, but staff offered to take away the remaining that we couldnt finish.

Hidden Gem! Japanese Izakaya that serves high quality dishes. We had a fantastic dinner at this Japanese restaurant. Though they pride themselves as an izakaya, there are many typical Japanese dishes besides small izakaya bites. Each dish was fantastic! You can taste the difference because of the high quality and freshness of their items! Unfortunately, their menu and prices give a false impression of smaller serving portions for a higher price which is not the case. Will definitely come back to support this quiet and quaint establishment as its definitely better than chain restaurants like Sushi Tei and Ichiban for the same price point. :) Service was excellent too, and very friendly. :)

Thai food Ordered the lunch set here and we thought it was quite ok. Less than $10 for a main and drink in aircon (rare in this economy) The Tomyum fried rice is not bad! Unagi w mentai tamago ($22), snow crab pasta ($15) Unagi was quite small in portion. Mentai tamago combi is 👌🏻. Snow crab pasta taste like chilli crab sauce w lots of meat

Ok food for price (1 for 1) Ordered unagi fried rice - portion is small, unagi not visible but taste of unagi is evident. Seafood pasta came abit wet tasted abit more home cooked than restaurant style. Thought the oyster comes together with the seafood pasta but they claimed they served wrongly (and told me only when I was making payment) - suspect they do this with all tables who didn’t hit the min spending. Then say out of goodwill will give a 15% off for the 1 raw oyster. Overall, nice ambience but poor business ethics, won’t recommend

🐮 Gyuniku Shiogayaki Don ($18) They're pretty generous with the beef slices, which were pretty thinly cut and soft - except that they were q fatty so depends on your preference for meat. The sauce here was also much less compared to the Unatama don so it might be drier at some parts.

Absolute value for money! Amazing value for money opening promo. They have an individual set menu for $9.90 which gets you a soup base of your choice (from Tomato, Mala, Mushroom, and Golden Chicken), a protein of your choice (from fish, chicken, and pork), rice, and a vege platter. The set also entitles you to the free flow sauce bar, appetisers, drinks, and ice cream! Legit damn value for money. There's even a grill at every table for you to grill the skewers and such, and we decided to just grill our proteins and some of the veges since the sauce bar had that really nice chinese skewer seasoning that I don't know exactly what is inside but I love. Overall, a really fun and satisfying meal that only cost two of us $26.80. Head down before this fantastic promo ends!

Authentic Sichuan Steamboat Had the chance to try this authentic steamboat place right in the city centre! The staff was very hospitable and the ingredients were all very fresh. I can say that the tomato soup base was one of my favourite so do give that a try if you like tomato soup!
