Orange Espresso ($6.50) At this void deck café with alfresco seating, Brew & Co. serves up coffee that’s perfect for a leisurely coffee break. My recent visit, however, was slightly ruined by ongoing construction nearby, but I managed to enjoy a quick sip to recharge. Their Orange Espresso is a refreshing blend where sweet citrusy orange juice makes up about 90% of the drink, topped with a shot of espresso. The intriguing combination of two acidic flavours, coffee and orange, somehow harmonises without becoming overly sour. I’m curious if anyone can explain the science behind this beautiful pairing! In terms of flavour, the drink strikes a balance between mild bitterness and moderate sweetness, leaning more towards a juice-like profile than a traditional coffee experience. It’s not the best I’ve had, but definitely not the worst, just a decent option for a warm day. . 🚩Brew & Co. , 716 Ang Mo Kio Ave 6, 01-4030, Singapore 560716 . . . #mehmehfoodventure #mehlicious #tastisfying #foodie #sgfoodie #sgfoodblogger #foodblogger #foodblog #foodcoma #burpple #burpplesg #sgfood #foodsg #eatmoresg #foodinsing #sgeats #sgcafe #cafesg #brewandco #orangeespresso #espresso #coffee

Iced Latte ($6++) I’m not very sure why but this iced latte was surprisingly very good! It could have been the post morning spin-class, short of sleep vibes that I was dealing with… 30% off with Burpple and further discount if you bring your own cup.

Archipelago Cold Brew To me, the perfect cold brew should have a deep, intense flavor, full-bodied, smooth and strong. This cup ($4.20, which is remarkably low for a cold brew) ticked none of those boxes at all. I couldn't taste any flavor notes at all, it was overly bitter and it tasted really badly diluted/watery to me. I believe it was underextracted (a cold brew should have at least 16 hours of steeping). I was quite disappointed by this cup, an iced Americano might have tasted better. There's an option to add milk into it if that's your thing. Their pastries (especially their chocolate cake) looked quite appetizing though. 3/10

Latte Gula ($4.80) | Green Tea Matcha ($5-6) Loved both! Latte Gula had a sweet ending with every sip. It was something very special that i’ve never tried before. Matcha one tasted amazing too, with a very strong matcha flavor. Would definitely be back to try them again!! 💖 📍 Opposite OCBC centre A quaint cafe with small seats but cozy.

Ice latte Gula There is a velvety aftertaste which envelopes the mouth with the freshness of the caramelized Gula Meka. Enjoyable!

Iced Latte Gula Huggs Collective at Thomson Plaza had quite a nice ambience when it was quiet and peaceful, and since I could enjoy a 30% discount with Burpple Beyond, I went for their Iced Latte Gula (S$7.00) which was essentially espresso with Gula Melaka. Apart from the distinct flavours of the processed coconut sugar, what was unexpected was that the coffee became much smoother and tasted frothier, even though it was iced and it sat for a few minutes before I took my first sip. #BurppleBeyond

Hojicino ($6.80) Thick, with an intense earthy hojicha taste and well-frothed milk, this is my favourite non-coffee drink on the Huggs menu.

Lousy customer service experience when paying When you come, rmb to tell them beforehand you’re using burpple. They asked misleading questions at the start like “where did you reserve from?”, and blamed us for not saying “I reserved from Burpple”. What is the difference if we had told you beforehand vs after the meal, that we are usinf Burpple? There is no reservation button from Burpple at all. Also mixed up our meat orders. Would not come again.

Great food, choices and 1f1 deal Would definitely come again!! (-: the spread of food for the buffet was good. Fresh seafood, meat and the usual meatballs, tofu and etc. But be aware that most/all staff there (when we were there) only speaks chim Chinese. Luckily my friend was a fluent speaker!

Great service and marinated meat for bbq It’s pretty alright for the hotpot/bbq, nothing fancy but have to agree that they do serve decent quality of meat (esp the marinated pork belly). Apart from that it’s just alright but wouldn’t come back again tho! Total damage $30/pax and do take note that they charge soup base separately. Food 2/5 Service 3.8/5 Ambience 3/5 Price point 2.8/5

Mala Chicken Rice- $6.90 Emo Snacks(饿魔小吃)is having a 10% pickup offer this loose CB period (until end June 2021 I think). This mala chicken rice will burn a hole in your belly. 😭 there is no 小辣 option so be warned!!! Make sure to pick-up some bubble tea as well to douse the flames. Everything else here has a spiciness level, even their 卤肉饭! :)) awesome place if you are craving Taiwanese 小吃late at night.

Taiwanese Snacks Ordered scallop mee sua, salted crispy chicken and sour plum sweet potatoes. I love my orders. Personally, I felt its mee sua was better than any other brands which I eaten in SG. The sweet & sour plum sweet potatoes were spicy though we requested 25% spice. Will I order again? Yes!
