Newly launched item on the menu, Fuji Five Lakes Fried Rice.

At first glance, it's an impressive pile of rice. Its piled higher than in their promo picture and packed pretty compactly. Even after the sauce was drizzled over the rice, it didn't collapse. Points for sturdy construction.

To call it a fried rice, nah. More like mixed rice. Just cooked Japanese rice mixed with those kind of frozen mixed vegetable bits. Rice lacked any seasoning at all. The accompanying condiments were quite little. If you were to mix everything together, it's alot more rice.

Speaking of the rice, I reckon there's about 2-3 bowls of rice in that tower. Unless you can really eat so much rice, if not you should not get this.

The star of the dish is the salted egg yolk sauce. Creamy, rich. Somehow, you won't get sick of this sauce. It sort of makes up for the weak and rather tasteless rice. We had a refill of the sauce. It's an additional of $2.

The sides are always well done. The takoyaki is crispy on the outside, soft and goey on the inside. I wish there was more than 6. The Gyoza, nothing special. Similar in taste to the ones from old Chang kee.

Small seating area. Small menu. Large on smells.

Took about 15+ min for the Don to be served.

Steak was overdone for my liking. Would have preferred a medium rare doneness. Pork Belly was ok, good colour and texture. Egg didn't taste like it was marinated for long. Yolk was soft, but not the runny kind.

Portion size was just nice. Eat it. No regrats.

As the title suggests, go for that. If that's all you ever eat at the restaurant, it's worth it.

Of course, there's a ton of other side dishes that you can order from. There's also hotpot options included in the buffet.

Free flow drinks.

Service is prompt and they have 2 robot waiters running about the restaurant to serve your food. Just don't take the wrong food. Haha.

Soups were quite weak. The kimchi soup tasted like water + kimchi. Underwhelming. The seaweed soup was slightly better. But don't bet your house on it.

Had the cured salmon BBP & soy citrus salmon BBP.

Presentation was cute. It's a small container with a cover. Similar to your Ben&jerrys pint container. The seasonings in the BBP wasn't alot, so we had to topup on our own. There's containers of sauces at the side for that purpose.

Portion size isn't fantastic. But with some soup and the drink, you should be reasonably satiated. Though not satisfied.

Would probably not return for a second time.

There's a large touch screen you can order from. The interface is well designed. Intuitive. Pay by card or cash. Sell collect pager system.

Food took under 10 minutes to be ready. The fresh Spring Rolls had a clean taste to it. The skin didn't taste soggy and the sauces provided match it well. If you are not used to eating raw vegetables, it's probably not for you.

The baguette was well toasted. Crispy and had a freshly baked taste. It's not like some bread that go stale if it's kept overnight. The pork was juicy and there was a proportionate amount of vegetables in the bread. It's rather satisfying to bite into. The baguette was well seasoned with the juices that came from the pork. Not sure if it's sliced or pulled pork. No time to look. Just kept eating till it was finished.

4 pieces each of chicken tenders. The chicken was presented in its own little basket and cut into bite size pieces. The meat used was breast meat. It's rather moist and we'll seasoned. The batter used was pretty light and goes well with the condiments provided.

The honey butter powder.. That's like crack. You just want it to br sprinkled on everything. It's a little sweet and has that umami flavour to it.

Coffeeshop setting, so don't expect too much. Service took some time because it was the dinner rush. But the food didn't feel rushed at all. They took their time to do it right.

Cosy environment, there's air-conditioning.

Self order from a few set menus or ala-carte dishes. We had Set A and an additional fried pork cakes. For drinks we had thai milk tea, lemon grass drink & thai green lemon tea.

Initially the milk tea came sour. Figured some of the lemon got into the cup. It was changed without fuss.

Dishes arrived about 10 mins after ordering. Which was fast considering the lunch time crowd was ramping up. All dishes were ok, nothing exceptional. Portion sizes was average, nothing too much or little. The spice level of the soup and basil chicken was low, so nothing to worry for people that don't take much heat.

Overall a nice place for a small group lunch.

Subtle fruity taste. Sour tangy taste. Smells like apple cider vinegar. Strangely addictive.

Its 1 for 1. So go for it!

Place was pretty empty when we were there. Aside from us, a couple of other diners.

Ordering process is straightforward. You tick your options off a form and go to the counter to pay. The bowl too about 5 mins to be assembled and was nicely presented.

There's not much rice, so it's good for people looking to cut back. Salmon and tuna were nicely cut, bite sized pieces. The scallops were juicy, had a nice bite. There's lots of salad greens in the bowl. Dressing isn't too heavy. Helps prevent you from getting sick of eating it.

Old school ambience with modern air-conditioned comforts. The shop is decorated with old photos of when the company first started. Very nostalgic.

The menu is presented in a plastic file. There's a order sheet and pencil inside. You decide on your choices and self order at the cashier. There's also a counter of their usual friend favourites that you can buy and eat together with the dishes.

The bread with curry chicken is a pleasant surprise. It was served with extra curry for dipping the bread or if you want, just to slurp it. The bread reminds me of the 933 curry chicken in a bun. But bread seems 'designed' for the curry. Its soaks up the curry well and is able to hold on to that gravy without melting into a gloopy mess. The chicken is soft and falls away from the bone. This dish is very addictive. You can easily overdose on curry if you are not careful.

The laksa was presented in single portion size. There's this huge laksa leaf as a garnish. The gravy is not too rich, which helps you avoid getting sick of it. The shrimps are probably frozen ones. It's a well balanced dish with no single aspect being outstanding.

The service is prompt and unobtrusive. This will be a good place to hold small team meetings. You can order drinks and some finger food.

There's a special menu for those using the burpple 1 for 1.

There's the grilled prawn, salad, iced green tea and a standard sized Don that you can choose from.

The prawn is really nice. Fresh, sweet and slight char taste when you bite into it. Makes me want to finish it, shell and all. Salad arrived chilled, but overly dressed. There was enough sesame dressing left for my Don.

The Don is well presented, nicely stacked. Sauce isn't too overwhelming, which is a plus. It allows the individual flavours of the various sashimi to come through. The rice isn't that fantastic, but the focus is mostly on the sashimi. The wasabi is of the tube variety, so nothing to rave about. There's a large sheet of seaweed, so I guess you can do a handroll if you want to?

Good ambience though think it can get cramped if it's full. There isn't alot of space to move about.

First time at Man Man. Service was quick, not intrusive. Most of what you need is on the table. Extra sauces, wet towels etc. They provide 2 sauces, normal.and spicy. Both sauces are rather thick and it's a nice feeling when you can drizzle as much as you want over your food.

Unagi is freshly grilled, not as fatty as others I've had. The rice is of a standard that you expect. Each grain is distinct and the rice has a nice mouth feel when you eat. They provide fresh wasabi root and a grater for you. It's a nice touch, if you consider the cost of 1 root of wasabi. The wasabi is fresh and complements the rice nicely. It's not the pungent / spicy taste that you get from eating the usual sushi wasabi. The wasabi also helps to clean the palate so that u dont get sick of eating the rice with the sauce.

The other condiments are okay, nothing outstanding.
