Chinese Tea in Pot Burpple Cafe has started serving Chinese tea in pot. Nice alternative to coffee especially when having long discussions with friends and partners. Burpple will gradually increase the choice of tea over the next few months.

tsujiri sundae ($9.80) this was way too expensive for the portion🥲 personally prefer the soft serve too. wld stick to their parfaits/floats!!

Matcha Chiffon Parfait ($8.50) I did tried their classic parfait alr in the past so I saw something interesting for their matcha chiffon cake. So I decided to get this instead of their gelato because its not really quite nice tbh. I always like their parfait or drink most of time in the past. Matcha Chiffon Cake got strong bitter taste tbh and also but then cornflake was kinda dry and disappointed (not that crunchy tbh). Overall that I do recommended to try their parfait and drink for first time as much over the gelato or cake tbh.

Houjicha Ice Blended Float ($8.51)Decided to try their houjicha without milk version as it's quite taste barely not much and houjicha soft serve ($1.20) just got milky and creamy texture.

Hammydinger - Hammydinger ($14) Turkey ham and chicken ham were slightly thick and goes well with the egg. The tomatoes were juicy and the egg was the same as above (creamy!!). We only had the plain bagel because all other bagels were oos:( The plain bagel was..plain but I love how they toasted it and it was still crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. It would be better if the bagel had more taste.

Garlic Salmon Garlic Salmon ($15) Fresh, creamy and buttery Hokkaido Milk Scrambled Egg with a generous serving of smoked salmon! The egg was thick and creamy, and the cheese was melty and stretchyyy. Plain bagel was soaked in the truffle mayo sauce so it was quite soft and toasty!

Garlic Salmon Bagel (KAI KAI - $12.90) (UP - $15) I finally understand the hype for this bagel shop located at curbside crafters and everyone included the boothers they also order while doing booth at level 1 and 2. I just like their fragrant butter bagel paired well with their ingredients (Garlic Salmon). I enjoyed their marinated garlic salmon and it's freshly made daily and got no bad smell from salmon. Their scrambled egg was quite not that oily but creamy when serving in hot.

Hanabi Maki This hanabi maki is less dramatic than usual, due to less tenkasu. But it's still my favourite maki here.

Aburi Salmon Miso Maki & Royal Glory Maki My first time trying the one on the right. It uses purple rice, ebi, cucumber, peach and mango sauce.

Buta Shio & Chicken Teriyaki Edible but not their strongest suit.

Extensive menu! Shared Set 30 (4 pax) between the 6 of us and we were all surprisingly satisfied with the portion. The set ($169) includes Beef Tripe Hotpot, Dough pieces for the hotpot, Webfoot Octopus Bossam, Steamed egg, a half-half Seafood and Kimchi pancake, as well as 4 bowls of rice. Starting off with the refillable banchan, the offerings on the day were kimchi, beansprouts, cucumber, and cuttledish (i think...?). All of them were delicious, no need to say any further. There were also the non-refillable banchan which was japchae, some fried fish, and some tofu with kimchi-something. Didn't know what I was eating, but still delicious nonetheless. For the mains, hotpot was soooo good and actually a very large portion. the server kindly offered to change the beef tripe to pork and octopus when we said we couldn't take beef, kudos to them for not just rejecting us! The hotpot was chockful of meat and veges and turns out we really loved the fresh octopus. The dough pieces also soaked in the flavours of the broth well. Our love for the octopus also carried over to the webfoot octopus bossam - we couldn't wow-ing over the tender octopus in the sweet-spicy sauce. Damn good! Finally, the steamed egg was just average but nicely complemented the other heavier dishes. Had a good time here and would return to try the other sets.

Good banchan but bad attitude staff Banchan was good but the service staff had bad attitude. She kept emphasising that each person must have one order and when my second friend hasn’t arrived she wanted to keep the utensils without even asking… tried the soybean cold noodles $26++ for the first time because it always looks so good on Korean variety show but the bean taste was q strong and not to my liking. Grilled meat $29++ was good. Food was good overall but rather pricey

Escargot ban chan I think it looks n taste like escargots and really good ban chan to serve!

Fresh seafood sashimi on delicious rice We got the premium Don ($22.80) + drink ($3.80) burpple set and it was absolutely delicious - the scallop was sweet and fresh, the sashimi was a generous portion of tuna and salmon. And the rice was buttery and v umami with the seaweed flavours and bonito flakes mixed in! V affordable chirashi place in a central location.

Main Dish + Drink ($16.60) Located outside of International Plaza, this restaurant serves very affordable don! We got the Bafo Don ($12.80) with a Yuzu-based homemade drink ($3.80) with #BurppleBeyond - 2 mains and drinks @ $16.60! The lady boss was very friendly and shared with us the top-selling items on the menu. Highly recommend!

Super worth it! Super delicious! The seasoned rice was topped with fresh fish and various condiments and taste superb mixed together. The apple and yuzu drink was refreshing too!

Poor service and food Would not recommend this place. The restaurant is cramped, crowded and hot (the aircon wasn’t working), the staff were rude and the food isn’t great. The hummus tasted one-dimensional and the babaganoush was stale. The Shish Kebab was perhaps the only thing we liked. Lastly, do not make an online booking as they will not allow you to use burpple.

Turkish Food First time eating at a proper Turkish restaurant so not sure if the taste of the food is considered authentic. For those intending to use Burpple, take note that you shouldn't make a reservation on google - had a strange experience of being made to call on the spot to cancel the reservation before we were allowed to redeem the deal. Food was alright, nothing to shout about personally. Portion was ok, but for the quality/quantity probably wouldn't be worth it without the 1 for 1. Best dish of the day was ghe kunefe - be warned that it takes quite long to prepare (more like 20mins instead of the 10mins mentioned). Did expect it to be bigger for the price when I first saw it, but as it is quite cheesey on the inside, the portion is enough as it can get quite jelak even when sharing. Total bill was around $90.

For 1-for-1 Main Dish (save ~$20) Head to Haji Lane for an authentic Turkish feast at this cozy restaurant! From Lamb Kofta ($24.90), Spinach Pide ($19.90) to classics such as Chicken Shawarma ($16) and Falafeel ($17.50) wraps, you'll be spoilt for choice. Banana Walnut Muffin Best muffins Yakun serves up some of the bestest and fluffiest muffins I have tried so far - definitely better than those from 4 leaves ( reeks of artificial butter smell and too hard on the outside ) , BreadTalk ( don’t bother ) , marche ( too greasy ), MacDonalds (pretty ok too but relatively sweeter ) . I have tried the banana walnut , orange chocolate and double chocolate - all good . Paired Witt coffee or tea or your choice at 3.50 per set . Ask for your muffin to be warmed up slightly - muffins are best when warm 🐹.

French Toast Set Affordable French toast . Love how fluffy fluffy the bread was . Just hope that the kaya could be more “ rustic “. Feels rather plastic with that shine and a little too sweet .

Japanese Style Neapolitan Pizza &Joy Dining Hall also houses Pittarino, a pizza concept that serves hand stretched made-to-order Neapolitan pizza using Japanese flavours. J really enjoyed their teriyaki chicken & scallion pizza. A thin crust pizza is topped with chicken in teriyaki sauce, spring onion, egg, mayonnaise and mozzarella --- basically everything she likes in one dish! Not for the purist but great when you are looking for something simple, guilty and tasty.

Teriyaki Chicken Pizza Tried the student meal for $7.90 with Free Flow Ice Lemon Tea, super worth. The crust was tasty and not dry with very savoury meat flavour with seaweed.

Mixed Grilled Kebab Platter Lamb chops, lamb kebab kofta, beef kebab and shish taouk, served with oriental Arabic rice and grilled vegetables. The beef and chicken were so-so. I've become a fan of kofta.

Grilled Chicken Pide Possibly the best pide I've tasted. Great bread and delicious chicken on the boat.
