Another hidden gem from Bei Sheng. Many people order their signature fried fish and sotong but imo their crabs are the highlights. Beats many seafood restaurants hands down. The texture of the crab is firm and the meat fills up the whole claw, which is very value for money. And the gem of the gems is the tang hoon, which soaked up the juices from the crab and the dried shrimp gave it an added umami, making it a great pair with rice.
Their crabs will put many self proclaimed crab specialist shops to shame. My family had tried many other crabs from elsewhere but disappointment is always served. But not for them, their crabs here are so fresh and well prepared. Really wonder where they got their fresh and firm crabs from. The meat is filled to the brim, not like those that are shrunken such that you can shake the claw like a rattle (crab connoisseur will know such crabs are nono) . Nothing but fantastic, its such a gem.
Ordered an original Sukiya Gyu don and a leaner version with tofu as a substitute for rice. Nothing to shout out about except that the price is hard to beat; just under $12 for whatever you see in the picture. Good place to ease your Japanese food craving.
Ordered the stingray, pork and chicken rice dishes. Nicely spiced but not something that I will revisit for. The Nigerian Fiery Peppered Pork Stew stands out the most. The food is well complemented with the outstanding interior design and ambience. Perfect place for a celebration.
Take a whiff of the pink peppercorn and mint scent before downing the drink, its a great drink that awakens the senses of smell and taste. Perfectly presented.
The soup is very flavourful though looks deceivingly bland. Seafood are abundant, topped up an extra dollar for big prawns and is totally worth it. The prawn is fresh and has a 'muscular' bite, can't get any fresher than that. The best thing is that they serve sambal belachan which elevated the umami-ness of the seafood. Portion is great, finished the beehoon before the ingredients. Worth a try!
Very affordable bowl with free flow boiled eggs and bean sprouts. But gets surfeit quickly and full of porky flavour that overpowers everything in the bowl.
This smoked duck dumpling is divine! What a great creation! Its original dumpling is a little lacklustre, flavour is inferior to those you get from hawker centres tbh. But their special dumplings are really god sent. Noodles are fine. Their highlights are definitely these inspired dumplings and also the great ambience. Great for dates👍
All the dishes here are nice, seafood are fresh and not frozen. Highlight was this salted egg bittergourd. Crispy and well coated with the sauce. So savoury and tasty that can make bitter gourd haters regret. Two thumbs up!
Chewy al dente noodles swimming in creamy seafoody broth!
Has that wok hei charred taste making it very fragrant. Generous serving size which is definitely worth the money.
I've got nothing negative to point out about this place cos its just so wonderful. One of my favourite noodles thus far.
Nice pastas and sides. Well balanced flavours that does not overpower the sweetness of the seafood. Price is reasonable.
Very ulu and its situated at 2nd level without lift access. Not very suitable for elderly or physically challenged individuals.
Chilli is underwhelming considering that it is the highlight of the dish. Lacks spice and kick. Noodle is firm and well cooked. Egg is slightly overcooked hence was not runny enough to coat the noodles well. Nevertheless, good environment and friendly staffs.
