Had long black and pain au chocolat. Great coffee that is reasonably priced at $4. The environment is neat, albeit small. Owner is a young man who is very gracious and understands customer centrality.
Nice Yuzu Tart, just a tad sweet and good Long Black. Interesting presentation on Peranakan tiles as plates.
Nice little cafe at KAP, artisan pastries are very delicate and on point. The baker is very customercentric and makes my visit a pleasant experience. Good tasting coffee, pain au chocolat & macarons. Will go back for more.
Pax of 2 - got the gashouse eggs and ordered croissant with scrambled eggs as the complimentary main, topped up a chorizo and a cup of cappuccino.
Croissant is nicely baked with crispy and flaky layers. Eggs are not too wet.
The bacon jam that comes with the gashouse egg has a crunchy bite and it is caramelised so has a combination of sweet and savoury taste which is rather pleasant. For the gashouse toast, it is well toasted with runny eggs stuffed inside. The cheese paired with the toast tasted rich yet soft.
Personally, I don’t enjoy the cold brew as much as a cuppa hot long black. Overall, I have a great breakfast at this cafe.
One for one pasta - Had seafood aglio olio and the taste was great. Very good value for money.
One for one mains - ordered party platter and baked salmon. Great value for money as well. The batter on the fried items taste good. However, the chicken had a ‘freezer’ taste albeit thoroughly cooked. Baked salmon had quite a crisp skin.
Overall I am satisfied with the meal.
Good value for money with 1 for 1 deal. Had this set in the restaurant previously and due to takeaway packing, the taste differs when dining at home. The salad turns slightly soggy and the onsen eggs became half boiled eggs. Best to reheat the sausages, bacon and sourdough bread before consumption. Overall would still recommend to give it a go.
