Unique Charcoal Steak Quite unique steak presentation & flavours in a plate. The medium rare steak was quite tender with a bed of fresh avochimmichurri, accompanied by charred asparagus and potato salad. Suitable for a light meal dinner. Paired it with a glass of red wine and you’re set for the night.

Blackened Barramundi ($34++) Both my boyfriend and I were very unimpressed by this...Yes it’s good (or honestly just alright) but nothing to shout about and definitely not worth that price tag. Even with burpple it’s a pass Nice vibes and service though (and pizza still gd)

Brisket Cheese Burger Pizza ($26++) Had this w burpple near christmas! Very well done, and rly tastes like how a cheese burger would haha. The beef is also not tough and chewy and loved the crust~ Decent size as well Wld recommend getting this

Bismarck ($24.8) 12” thin crust pizza, topped with honey baked ham, feta cheese, wild rocket salad, tomato concasse, and a sunny side up smack in the middle of it all. I thought the pizza was delicious - with a combination of ingredients like that it’s hard to go wrong. It was just nice in terms of portion size, my friend and I shared it as we weren’t feeling too hungry during lunch. She liked this pizza too! Do note that they do not serve tap water here - you’d have to buy bottled mineral water for $2 if you wanted some. Cafe was spacious yet cozy, made for a nice afternoon lunch venue.

Chai Tea Latte ($7.50) This Chai Tea Latte was very smooth and comforting - spices were not too intense and the drink was overall more towards the sweeter side. Its sweetness was a great accompaniment to the savoury Italian dishes we ordered. Do note that they do not serve tap water here - you’d have to buy bottled mineral water for $2 if you wanted some. Seafood Risotto Yummy creamy! Must eat while it's hot. Flavorful and quite a bit of seafood in it! Liked it!

Divine felafel sandwich Not only is this place kosher, halal, and vegan, but it also shows that vegan food can be tasty too <3 I love the fill free sandwich. I also recommend the pita chips and the babaghanoush 🤩

back at my fav place for hummus & pitas! I tried their PITA CHIPS ($3.50) which was 1.5 pitas cut into thin strips & deep-fried till crunchy💥💥 They were then dusted with cajun & za’atar, and served with tahini and harissa. super addictive but pls share bcoz i finished it and the oil was swimming in my stomach HAHA

Portobello Burger ($20) A completely vegan restaurant which prioritises health, the food has a very meditarranean taste to it. The surprising thing about this meal was the fact that the burger did not include brioche buns but rather the burger was made by the mushroom itself. Even though some parts may taste bland, together with the dehydrated chips, pineapple and beetroot patty, the burger had a nice sweet tinge. The service is quite good despite the lack of staff. Clarify with the staff how you can use the deals before ordering! They are more than happy to clarify any issues.

Portobello Burger ($20++ U.P.), Zucchini Noodle Carbonara ($16++ U.P.); Both On Burpplebeyond [TLDR Alert] My family and I have bought into the propaganda of Netflix Documentaries- Game Changers and What the Health. What this means is an attempt to maintain a vegan diet (plant based diet) which is difficult with what the F&B scene in SG has available so we give ourselves some leeway of vegetarian options when dining out. But at wholesome savour, the vegan theme is the pride of the menu. Take this portobello burger for example, the large dark mushroom serves as the burger bun with animal free ingredients; the mycoprotien chicken (plant based meat) reminded me of unseasoned mash potatoes which complimented a pleasantly tart beetroot patty. Other delightfully ingredients included the diary free cheese which has sent me stocking up on all the dairy free cheese I’ve found on redmart because I cannot live without cheese and these are some great cheese. Lastly the dehydrated chips will feel like tasty substitutes to your usual chips, warmly welcomed by my mum and I aka crisp lovers. Separately we also had the zucchini carbonara with some savoury coconut bacon and a fun tasty nut sauce. Sadly I found the zucchini noodles too crunchy for my liking because I was expecting noodle texture. All in all, kudos to Burpplebeyond for a vegan treat at an affordable price point.

Negg’s Benedict A good attempt looks-wise in replicating the classic eggs ben. I love the avocado (replacing the egg) but I found the ‘hollandaise sauce’ a little too sourish. Ambience here was nice and generally quiet :) One for one on selected dishes using Burpple beyond

Sesame Mochi Bread (3 Mochi Breads For $8) I liked the sesame mochi bread the least even though it’s pretty popular on instagram. I was expecting it to be a thick, rich sesame paste, similar to tangyuan filling but in solid form. Unfortunately, the sesame paste tasted very buttery, which took away from the earthiness of the sesame. I can see the appeal, but I personally didn’t like it. Wish it had a stronger and richer pure sesame taste.

Peanut Mochi Bread (3 Mochi Breads For $8) The peanut mochi bread was delicious too. It has a chunky peanut paste inside, with whole peanuts for texture, and is slightly salty, which I like! It is slightly drying to the throat as you can imagine, but the mochi helps here to tone down the richer flavours like the sesame and peanut.

Banana Choco Mochi Bread (3 Mochi Breads For $8) The highlight of Muyoo’s bread is the texture of their breads for sure. It has a chewiness that makes it taste like Japanese breads with tang zhong in them, and I love it! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I liked the choco banana mochi bread the most. It isn’t too sweet and has some banana purée inside. The mochi is the typical soft type that they put into breads that remain chewy at room temp. It’s not too sweet and also fun to eat, I guess. Overall, I wish they did the choco banana one with more banana purée and no mochi! That would be delicious.

Pulled Pork Quinoa Had this really long time ago and all I could rmb is the fried pork :-( tho I know they defo serve good coffee!

Left Me Hang(ar)ing While my money isn’t thick and stacked (unfortunately), the Hot Pancakes from The Hangar certainly are. Three pancakes, composed out of The Hangar’s homemade batter mix, are drizzled with maple syrup and garnished with poached blueberries, thinly sliced strawberries and bananas. For $20++, it felt kinda underwhelming. While the pancakes were fabulously fluffy and satisfactorily sized, it felt somewhat dull and monotone. The sweet poached blueberries, bananas and strawberries were nice, but it just wasn’t enough to tie everything together. What the hotcakes are sorely lacking is something to bind all the elements together, like a scoop of ice cream.

‘tis A Good To Place To Hang(ar) To this day, all of Singapore’s self proclaimed top tier coffees have been a beautiful letdown. Good coffee? Probably. On the same level as Aussie coffees? Yeah, nah mate. However, The Hangar is quite possibly the closest any café in sunny Singapore has come to brewing up a cuppa that could go toe to toe with astoundingly amazing Aussie coffee. Their cappuccino is lightly and delightfully toasty, mildly bitter, and has a luxuriously thick body and creamy mouthfeel. It’s truly no mean feat to even come close to the standard of coffee down under, so congratulations are definitely in order to the Hangar for reliably pouring up beautiful brews for the last half decade or so.

A New Day, A New Cake I'd seen this before but never had it till today. The no-nonsense name of "hazelnut cake"really says it like it is. Although the hazelnut flavour is very apparent which is great, I found this cake to be a little on the sweet side. It's also quite pricey at $9++ per slice.

Pat & Stick's Homemade Ice Cream Co. S$6.80 for this amazing Australian 'slice-of-heaven'. Creamy and not-too-sweet ice cream complements the crunchy and NON-SOGGY cookie sandwich. The size is just nice to be shared with a friend :) They had a total of 9 flavours to choose frm - we had the Caramel Pecan (no regrets!)

French Toast With Caprese Pretty thick french toast with cheese in the middle ($11.90)

Back here again for their 1 for 1 promo on food items which ends on 7 July. (Don't say bojio!!) _ Featured here are the scrambled eggs with toasted brioche and the French Toast with Earl Grey Kaya. The earl grey kaya stole the show for me with its fragrant earl grey essence. Could easily lick the plate clean of the sauce. _ On a side note, quite sad to learn that favourites such as the crispy poached eggs and the 'breakfast and brunch stuff' are being put to a 'weekend only' menu. While their weekday menu now consists of heavier mains which sounds rather commonplace. Hope @sgfuelcoffee can bring back the weekend items on a daily basis. _ Plus points for their friendly service and down to earth lady boss who asked for ways to improve on the french toast _

Lamb Shank Beautiful garden themed restaurant with a white carriage and swing for the perfect shot. Lunch menu served was pretty Asian fusion at affordable prices. Lamb shank was probably the most expensive item on menu. Slow cooked for hours such that meat tears off easily from the bone and fully infused with rendang flavors right to the core. A rather big portion that is good to share between the 2 with some additional orders of sides!

Squid Ink Risotto ($16.80) I was a tad apprehensive and skeptical of the food served at Blisshouse originally. The extensive ethereal, fairytale theme and design of the restaurant made me feel like they were trying to compensate for subpar food with a good aesthetic. I was completely wrong. The squid ink risotto is fragrant and buttery, the grains used were of a good texture and consistency. The overall dish held together nicely without running or splitting, and the subtle salty flavour of squid ink came through, despite the heavy butter taste. However, the calamari that topped the dish was your average, run of the mill calamari you can get anywhere. Not good, not bad, just.. okay.

Have a terrific Tuesday my dears 💋 Duck Confit (SGD$26.80) - was slow-cooked for 8 hours so meat was succulent beneath its crackling skin. Petit Salad, crispy Potato Wedges and maple mustard dressing added flavours and crunch to the dish, but what really stood out was the sunny side-up egg flanking the duck leg. I poked it and let its yolk sweeten out the saltish duck - lovely effect.
