Dory Salad With Drink $14 Great value for money. Specially after the burrple beyond offer. Nice Dory and 2 sides. Healthy and well cooked. Staff could not speak English at all, which was really hard for us. Rest all good. 4 stars

Wagyu Steak ($19.90) I ordered this medium-rare but it was more rare - that’s fine, but the steak was already pretty tough to cut! Not the best, but I guess it could have been worse.

Salad, with some protein! Just..broccoli, chicken thigh, cous cous and roasted pumpkin! Chicken thighs wasn’t too dry, tho rather oily for what’s supposed to be a healthy lunch. Broccoli was cooked to a crunch! I would prefer for it to be a lil’ more cooked (ie soft than crunch)

Grilled Chicken ($19) Served with mashed potatoes, cuts of yellow melon/cucumber cubes and broccoli, topped with a tomato, the chicken thigh was well-marinated and glazed with vinaigrette-based sauce. The chicken thigh was slightly dry and less fresh; it tasted like breast meat somehow, probably overcooked. Good ambience with nice background music but not good food. ):

Drinks are ala carte. Prompt service! Again I stress that you order what you can first, taking in mind the quantity is huge.

Mala Butter Soupbase Great quality of food with one of the best Mala soupbase in town. $26.80 net buffet price, definitely worth it, eventhough the they charge the soupbase separately. Will come back again.

Actual Burpple Offer Differed From The Description Thought it was "3 Eclairs for 3 Eclairs" (which was how it was like previously when I used it last year), but apparently they've an agreement with Burpple that said that it will be $33 (for a total of 6 eclairs). Though it's still slightly cheaper than the original price for 6, I still felt a bit cheated cos this was not stated anywhere. They should have stated this somewhere that it's no longer 3 for 3, but a box of 6 for $33. Apart from this, the eclairs tasted fresher and better than the previous time that I bought them.

Lovely eclairs Dropped by to buy it because of the beyond deal! Was worth it! Flavours in order of my personal recommendation: 1. Vanilla with caramelised pecans - The vanilla cream was so fragrant, and the pecans gave a very nice texture to the eclair 2. Dark chocolate - a classic, rich and not too sweet 3. Earl grey - definitely can taste legit earl grey, very fragrant but not too sweet 4. Salted caramel - a classic too, tasted like Garrett’s popcorn, was good but wasn’t that special

Friendly Staff And Good Food Food are yummy! Try out their signature cocktails too. Pretty cool new restaurant.

Tenderloin With Foie Gras An off menu meal intro by the friendly waitress. Tenderloin was soft to touch but medium rare came out close to medium instead. Most parts are chewy and lacks flavour. Redeeming points are the Foie Gras which hardly fails and the mash are great rendition. 2.5/5

Hot & Spicy Chicken Wings These wings came out as drumlets, was good but felt that its very similar to old mcd. Only difference was the mayo that raised the drumlets texture 3/5

Nasi Lemak A decent place for Nasi Lemak. I enjoyed the sweet & fiery chilli that was great with rice, and the crunchy topping was good as well. The beef rendang however, was extremely tough, so skip that and go for the chicken instead, which fared much better.

Coconut Rice With Sides $6 Perfect local meal. Cheap and best Great decor, very friendly staff. Smokers friendly with some outdoor seating. Coconut rice with sides $6 Meat curry $6 Chicken $4 Quick and cheap. 5 stars

For Nasi Lemak With a Modern Twist Drop by this Asian tapas bar for glammed up nasi lemak with your colleagues on Circular Road. Order a couple of their sides to share (get them 1-for-1 with #BurppleBeyond) like the Spicy Sambal Sotong ($7.00) or their Rendang Beef ($6.80). All this to pair with the Signature Nasi Lemak ($7.80) which comes with a truffle poached egg, crisp and juicy wing as well as soft pearly grains that pair well with their sweet homemade sambal. Fishball Noodles This place was made famous by its amoy street hawker stall. Just a really decent bowl of fishball noodles with nice bouncy fishballs and savoury soup. Noodles and the sauce were average, personally I'd dump in more vinegar so they wouldn't clump. And by the way I didnt spot the purported 2nd gen hawker hunk whos owns the place.

Bak Chor Mee (M) - Kway Teow [$8] Not sure why, but the portion of kway teow was much lesser than our mee pok bowl 😅 We opted out of the ketchup for the latter and got the original for this. I prefer a less sweet mixture so I liked the mee pok more. Their Burpple Beyond deal ends end Dec, so make sure to drop by soon for a super value for money meal!

Bak Chor Mee (M) - Mee Pok [$8] Was scrolling through Burpple Beyond for something soupy and found Ah Ter. The Beyond premium plan offers one for one on their medium sized bak chor mee, and it’s SUPER worth it. It ends on 31 Dec, so make sure to go soon! They have lots of noodle options (like 7!) and we decided on the mee pok and kway teow. Saw somewhere that they use quite a lot of ketchup, so we opt out of it for this bowl and I liked it a lot more (also because I personally prefer it to be less sweet). Noodles were pretty springy, but the best part for us was the very flavourful and subtly sweet soup! It came in a huge portion with generous ingredients like minced pork, meatball, prawns, fishcakes, fishballs and several slices of pork and pork liver. The pork livers were done exceptionally well, tender without any lingering stench. While it’s a little pricey on its original price tag, the spot is air-conditioned and service was great. They also have a smaller bowl at $6 and a large one at $10. Their special whole abalone and seafood soup goes for $15.
