Noticed a new coffee place that just opened. Thought will be a good idea to try.
This would be the last time I will patron this store, I even brought a colleague along.

Ordered:
1) cinnamon bagel with 'cream cheese'
2) cafe latte

The bagel - they were advertising as $4 'bagel with cream cheese' . I'm not sure if you will consider blots of 'cream cheese' as having cream cheese on the bagel. Though it lives up to 'as advertised'.
Two men bagel who is just around the corner charges $4.50 for the same bagel and the amount of cream cheese they put on their bagels are amazing and in good amount that there will be excess for this sorry bagel.

That is just poor service for such a bagel.

As for the coffee, if you are someone who is looking for strong aromatic coffee, this is not for you, the aroma is mild with strong taste of the steam milk.

Went there to have dinner.
Waitress/waiter wasn't all friendly.
No biggy, after all its not a fancy restaurant.
Ordered their signature dish - Beef Wellington
Overall the beef was done just right. With the right level of juicy-ness and tenderness to it. However, the pastry was slightly under cooked. It's not flaky throughout like it should. But just the top layer, I could still taste the dough from the sides and the bottom. I understand that beef Wellington is a tough dish to cook and I am no expert. Would be great if it remained in the oven just a tad longer. Apart from that, it was a good steak.
Lamb burger and salmon was ordered as well. However I did not try them. Hence not worth mentioning much.

Anyway back to the waitress/waiter. You know that vibe people gives off when they aren't as willing to do stuff? That's pretty much the same vibe we got. To top it off, when the table was cleared, the knife flew off the plate while the waitress/waiter was clearing the plate. Almost hit someone, although it's a butter knife, could have been worse! Most importantly, the waiteress/waiter did not apologise, or perhaps I will give the benefit of doubt that it was mentioned and I didn't hear.

All in all, the food is good, as for the service charge I paid.. Not justifiable for the service I received..
Also beware the bill is alittle confusing.

Let's start from the point we got in. Waiter was talkin to us, stopped half way to entertain another guest. How nice!
When we were seated, we were served in 10 mins of our food which is good. Ordered 3 dishes. The first dish came was the kimchi stew. The next that came was the kimchi pancakes. The Waiter actually handed the item to me to put it on my own table. (even if you go to a hawker place to order, the Aunty/uncle at least chucks it on your table). Then came the spicy rice cakes. Same issue..
Now for the taste of the food.
1) kimchi stew - the consistency of the 'stew' is more like kimchi soup you find at Korean food stalls at koufu. We counted 5 tiny cubes of meat (that's if you consider one of them that was pure fat). In short the stew wasn't cooked well.
2) In my opinion, the best of the lot. The pancakes was crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside.
3) Spicy Rice cakes was not too bad.
I guess these days restaurants don provide free water. Even basic stuff like serviettes was not provide either. Not even tissue paper? For a bbq restaurant?
I may be picky, but that was what i experienced
