We ordered 2 sampling platters and shared the pork stew, which was hearty. The dumplings came with homemade sour cream and out of all the unique flavors, we loved the minty ram the most. Interestingly, the dumpling skin is thicker and more colorful than the local varieties in Singapore. We felt that the portion could have been bigger for the price.
We ordered the signature tortellini and crab meat squid ink pasta and were delighted to find out that the restaurant only serves fresh pasta! Both dishes tasted superb, but the tortellini portion was a bit on a smaller side for the price. Their tiramisu was soft and creamy, even though it doesn't contain alcohol. Overall we were very satisfied with the food and service!
THE RIBS ARE AMAZING!!! They were tender, well-marinated and the spiciness was just nice. The popcorn chicken and fries also came in generous portions. The rice was a little dry but it was overall truly a fantastic meal.
We got the pasta, trout, and ice cream, of which the trout stood out the most. It was sinfully buttery and absolutely delicious! The staff surprised us with a complimentary salad (which came with an AMAZING sauce) and cheesecake (it tasted like custard to us hahaha), which was really a cherry on top. Oh, and the ambience is wonderful! I loved the cute wooden clocks on the wall.
Got the avocado yogurt because I really like avocado. I can taste the real avocado bits, but the combination is a bit odd (and an acquired taste), so I'd recommend sticking with safer options, such as the classic purple rice yogurt.
We ordered the crab linguine, beek cheek and har cheong gai chicken. The beef cheek stood out to me the most, as it was the softest beef I've ever had! We also loved the ambience and attentive service.
The noodle portion was generous and had a nice chew, as I prefer hard noodles. The broth was flavorful, but a bit salty for me. I would come back and get a lighter broth and try other soup bases next time
We loved the ambience, the friendly staff, and the food, the quality of which is comparable to restaurants in Japan! The price is slightly on the high side but it was all in all a great experience.
We got 2 drinks and 2 food items and they were all pretty good! The food came in big portions and the drinks had nice latte arts. The price is average for cafes in the Holland bukit timah area, but the nice ambience and friendly staff really made the experience worthwhile :)
