Tried to go on a Wednesday dinner to use the 1 for 1 but staff said that it was only valid for lunch which is not specified in the deal. Waste of a trip there.

this place fills up pretty fast, as with most places within the CBD. expect to come punctually at 12nn or slightly before that to secure that dine-in table!
the connection in-store is also very poor, so best to redeem your Beyond deal before heading inside to show the redemption code and place your order.
i have been (before Beyond) and will continue to come back for the food. portions are good for the price. the tomato relish and soft sunny side ups in the bacon & egg sarnie soaks through the sourdough and makes for an excellent contrast against the crisp bacon.
the only minor gripe being that coffee is not included for Beyond, and is quite expensive as-is. but there is an overload of coffee options within Telok Ayer, and this place doesn’t charge for drinking water which is a plus these days.
tldr; this place is easily missed, and can be given a miss.
Beyond makes the trip worthwhile, but i wouldn’t otherwise return. affordable coffee at $7 for 2 cups of oat latte, for what i would reckon as rather ordinary.
i do feel the espresso shot was under-extracted, as the acidic taste was dominant especially in the iced oat latte. hot oat latte was alright though.
Burpple’s 141 only lets you pick between 4 flavours — stracciatella, black sesame, ube and honeycomb.
you would not think twice to order a cone, which is their claim to fame. turns out, my biggest gripe is exactly the lacklustre cone. it’s very fragile 😩 and the once-crispy cone turned soggy really fast. while the ice cream is decent, i would not have visited if it wasn’t for Beyond.
there is another ice cream place within immediate vicinity which we very much prefer and frequent as the gelato offers more depth in flavor. both places are dog friendly, and are willing to offer Yoshi a cup of water too.
