Cabbage and Tofu Dumplings ($28) consisted of roasted coconut flakes and cauliflower puree. my friend and i we didn't enjoy to eat this dish finish bc got jelak (creamy and sweet) taste.

Pork & Chive Dumplings ($32) we did redeemed 1 for 1 burpple under main dish so the ambience was really intimate and dim light setting. consisted of truffle emulsion, truffle pate, coconut flakes and sourdough bread. my friend and i we did enjoy to eat this dish finish bc got not that strong truffle.

Argentinian Prawn | $26 This was a dollar more expensive than the birria, but I’d get this any day over the latter. Though not the kind of cheesy goodness you’ll get with a birria taco, this was refreshing and delightful. The Argentinian garlic prawns was grilled to perfection to give that slight Smokey flavour, not withstanding them being huge and fresh. The combination of Thai mango salad and cilantro gave an appetising boost to every bite. The chipotle mayonnaise added that slight creaminess and light spice to it, and they all the elements added up together very well. That being said, it’s more worth it at Lavi Taco’s if you use the burpple deal since it guarantees you some discount, though it also presents some limitations in flavours - such as not being able to go for this dish, and timings that you can eat there. Masala Lamb Birria | $25 For 2 pieces and pretty little stew by the side my first thought was how unaffordable it was. The masala lamb deep fried taco was not as oily as I’d expected, but the gaminess of the lamb was much more overpowering, to the point the masala felt like a little tingle. In fact, when you dip the taco into the birria, it’s unlikely that you’d get much masala flavour. Cheesy with a decent amount of meat, but, I would go for the other tacos instead. Rate:🌟🌟🌟

The downside is that we were there during happy hour but we weren’t allowed to use both burpple and happy hour discounts. We sat inside which was a bit humid on the evening that we went. Staff were very nice despite it being a busier night. Paid $28 (including GST and service charge) for 2 pizzas, so it was very worth with the burpple discount! Not so classic marg ($24) Loved the buffalo mozzarella! Almighty cheese ($24) There was goat cheese as part of it and with nice crispy bits on the top to add more texture. Drizzled with hot honey (I think it’s meant to be hot as in spicy but it wasn’t that spicy). I personally love the savoury and sweet combo.

Butter Chicken ($28) Quite a unique combi and while the butter chicken couldn't replicate the creamy goodness of the authentic ones, it still passed muster. Loved the addition of the pickled onions as well, giving every bite a nice crunch and a slight tang.

Plant Square ($26) A medley of colourful veges adorned over a beautiful tomato sauce atop a delicious sourdough base. Think semi-dried tomatoes, huge black olives, slices of grilled eggplant and zucchini, slivers of mushrooms and bell peppers and artichokes. Lovely variety and all coming together so well. The accompanying chilli oil was pure goodness as well - drizzle it onto your pizza and also the crust for an added oomph.

Not a real 1-for-1 deal Been here several times. Food here is 10/10. However, did not appreciate that they have a separate price menu for burpple user without informing us. This menu is priced higher than their normal menu. Ultimately only saved ~$5 as compared to 2 mains from their original menu.

Good bowl of Chirashi Easy fix for a bowl of chirashi. What's funny is that they have a separate pricing menu for those using the Burrple 1 for 1, the prices for it was being jacked up. Strange thou.

Curry Curry!! Curry here is really tasty and definitely good Indian cuisine food. We ordered: Mattar paneer & Palak paneer (vegetarian & in picture) and chicken tikka Masala & Holy butter chicken (chicken) and 4 naan & 2 rice Favourite was the butter chicken 💸: $93.90 Food was good but really pricey & don’t really save much with the burpple deal…..

Worst steak | Avoid Poorly executed steak - ordered a medium but steak doneness was more like medium-rare (service staff / boss couldn't even tell which was the medium steak when we asked - he probably didn't even note to cook this as a medium?) Steak was also tough and chewy, definitely one of the poorer steaks around. Truffles fries had no truffle taste, and mashed potato had a weird texture. Was also told we couldn't use burpple but staff eventually relented when we shared that the app allows it. Was a terrible piece of steak and not worth the calories imo (not even a 1for1 deal will make it platable). Will not return. + saw that the shop has drastically shrank / downsized from its previous 2 storefronts to its small shop now, the quality and attitude of the shop owner is probably the reason why. ++ saw two poor souls who walked in after us and were misled into believing that burpple wasn't available for redemption when it clearly was. And then was sold into paying for a Wagyu flight meal.

Tenderloin | $40.50 A small restaurant located along the busy street opposite i12 Katong, Stirling Steaks served up one mean steak. Went for the tenderloin which was executed well, a nice sear that was delicately marinated, and unsurprisingly, very tender. The side of truffle fries were a tad too oily, but still delicious. Would definitely come back here with the Burpple 1-for-1 deal - so worth it! Rate:🌟🌟🌟🌟

Affordable steaks at a friendly little place Though I’m not in the area often, if I feel like steak I always consider this charming little place. High quality steaks at affordable price. On this visit though, the prices had gone slightly higher ( but still pretty good), but was a little disappointed that it had lost the char that I loved so much. This was the place that made me restart my burpple membership. Super duper worth it with the Burpple 1-for-1!

One for one dessert Around $20 for two desserts which can feed quite a lot of people. The desserts weren’t special but I guess worth coming by for the coffee and vibes of the place. A good place to chill if you had dinner nearby!

One for one coldbrew Am a fan of their white cold brew. One for one deal for this is pretty nice! Was able to use this coupon on a Sunday too.

scrambled egg with cheese croissant croissant is not bad scrambled egg nicely done but it was sliced cheese that did not even melt fully salad is salted so it's a lil weird for me bandung latte (cold) is really good

Chicken Baked Rice ($16.90) One of the worst baked rices i have ever eaten. Bits of minced chicken with broccoli mixed in with rice lacking flavour. The only thing going for it was the thick layer of cheese on top which became unappetizing after it hardened. Would not pay $16.90 for this. Staff were also unfriendly when we changed our orders at the point of ordering.

Chicken Pie with Mash Potato Ordered from the burpple menu. The pie consists of one layer of minced chicken and one layer of potato on top. There's abit of brocoli and carrots mixed in it. The flavours were ok but might get a bit jelat at the end. Abit disappointed with the variety of board games available. Quite a lot of their games were old in terms of its wear and tear.

yuzu mango latte ($7) this tasted like mango pomelo sago!!!🥭🥭 so yummy and i swear the oat milk (+$1) made it better. can't taste the coffee though but this kept me UP

Bad service, bad coffee Tried the mint coffee (kohito) and dark choc drink for $7.5 total with burpple. Dark choc was not sweet (good for those who prefer non sweet drinks), but did not taste very chocolatey to me too? Mint coffee was rly bad imo, sour coffee + toothpaste. What put me off the most was the service. The ordering place has 2 windows, one connected to the road outside and one connected to indoor seats. When my buzzer rang, i tried collecting from the window connected to the indoor seats since that made the most sense? But the staff told me I hav to exit the cafe to go outside to collect. When they could have literally grab my drink, turn their body n pass to me. The booth they were in was rly tiny btw. And when leaving the place i thot i was alr kind to clear my own cups, i placed them at the window connected to indoor again cos there were no dustbins. The staff then told me to exit the cafe n throw in the green bin outside. Uhh ok. Then can someone tell me whats the window connected to the indoor cafe for?

Kohito $7 ice black, fresh milk, mint

Superb gelato and waffles! [SENGKANG, SINGAPORE] Dear Sengkang residents, I'm so envious of y'all that you have such a good waffles and gelato place near your neighbourhood! This is my repeated visit at @thebetterscoop and I'm still in awe at how good the gelato flavours were 😍 We went all out on tea related flavours and got the Tie Guan Yin, Jasmine Green Milk Tea and Honey Chamomile Blue Pea. The Tie Guan Yin was so fragrant as usual, with strong tea notes which were neither too strong nor too mellow. I absolutely loved the Jasmine flavour as well, due to its smooth flavour that reminded me of drinking a good bubble tea. Now we come to my favourite flavour of the evening, the Honey Chamomile. The Chamomile flavours were strong, and yet complemented well with the honey notes. It wasn't too sweet as well, and yet very addictive! To pair with your gelato, their Nian Gao Waffles is really a must order. The slightly crispy exterior had a good contrast with the chewy nian gao within and the butter flavour was also very strong! The total priced paid was $20. This was a dessert that made us really happy 😋 definitely will come back for more!

Pi Pa Gao (Loquat) Mint The Better Scoop is one of those ice-cream parlours that we find it particularly difficult to not drop by if we are passing by an outlet of theirs — these folks had grown quite a fair bit since their beginnings as Just Because Creamery especially considering how they now operate several locations islandwide. This is also not forgetting the Ri Ri Cha 日日茶 concept that is prominently located along Sago Street near the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Chinatown Complex Food Centre. Whilst we usually find it hard to resist going for their Nian Gao Waffles (they are one of the first, if not the first to offer such style of Waffles) whenever we are with other folks, we were passing by their Serangoon outlet by ourselves and we just couldn’t find ourselves skipping in an opportunity to grab at least a scoop of ice-cream here. Skimming through the selection of flavours that they have to offer for the day that are stocked in their display fridge, we eventually found ourselves going for the Pi Pa Gao (Loquat) Mint. This flavour does have a bit of significance on their money; whilst the entire trend of Pi Pa Gao (Loquat) being added into various forms of food as “dark cuisine” is popularised by an influencer not too far back, it is well noted that The Better Scoop had been serving up a Pi Pa Gao Latte for quite a while (not that they were the first to come up with the idea of incorporating Pi Pa Gao (Loquat) into a beverage though; we know of Woobbee doing so for a long time). Despite its rather milk-based appearance, the flavours of Pi Pa Gao (Loquat) hits hard — the deep earthy sweetness with a herbal note is quick to soothe the throat, all that with the slight menthol finish that makes things absolutely refreshing at the same time. The smart incorporation of mint here extends those refreshing, cooling notes further — absolutely the flavour to go for after a heaty meal; who knows if this is the ice-cream that one could help out an irritation in the throat while at it?
