New kid on the block!

Extremely pleasant to have a rice bowl x skewers stall in a traditional Taman Jurong Food Centre.

Here’s a colourful sous vide salmon bowl $9.90. Look at it and note down the crunchy sides. Every bite was yummy with the freshness of vegetables (beans, cucumbers, tomatoes) and sweetness of fruit (pineapples, my fav!!)

I expected the salmon fillet to be soft yet chunky. Found it abit overcooked. Finished it to the last bit of grain so still, a great bowl.

Have it with sushi rice!

They have other bowls at $5.90 and up. I wanna do their poke bowl next.

Light crisp of the skin, chicken was tender. Chef got the bbq timing and temperature very well! On point. I like my meat savoury and was a tinge worried if it may be too bland judging from the color of the wings. Gladly to be surprised that meat was well-marinated. Balance flavours of marination and char.

Great for sharing and don’t chit chat too much cos you wanna bite off the skewer sticks while they’re hot 😎🤸🏻‍♀️

I noted some pricing of theirs, skewers are well priced at:

Corn $1.20 (not in pic)
Oyster mushroom $1.20 (not in pic)
Chicken heart $1.50 (not in pic)
Chicken wings $1.80
Pork belly $1.80 (not in pic)
Bacon enoki $1.80 (not in pic)
Bacon Okra $2 (not in pic)
Prawns $2 (not in pic)

Nicely charred and seasoned. Prawn was fresh, corn was juicy. Great for sharing and don’t chit chat too much cos you wanna bite off the skewer sticks while they’re hot 😎🤸🏻‍♀️

The Mother of all Char Siew Paus found here at Chinatown Complex. $2.80 for 3 steaming hot buns— defo worth the money and tummy jiggles. Chunks of meat marinated to perfection enveloped by fluffy dough, can't get any better than this 👌🏻 Was real tough to share in a lunch appointment for 2 cos we both wanted the last pau, lol #Burpplecheapandgood

While some places charges you a thick toast for $5.50. You may exchange your $5.50 for some thick stuff too— thick slices of batang fish, thick fish milk broth and some al dente thick bee hoon. Lunch crowd queue is cray. I came at 3pm, got a bowl of satisfaction in 5 mins 🖖🏻 #Burpplecheapandgood
