Mango snow ice was nice & the mango taste really came thru, but it’s not spectacular. We also felt that they could be more generous w the mangos bc there were only like 6 small pieces??? But this dessert wasn’t as sweet as we expected, which is a good thing! There is always a queue, so do come early (not sure if it’s worth queuing for but I guess it’s a good place to visit if you’re really craving for snow ice) 🤗
The black sesame paste itself was $3.50 but we added 2 tang yuans (1 peanut & 1 sesame) for $0.50 each! Black sesame paste was smooth but it’s not the best that we’ve tried so far. Even tho the flavour was there, it could have been a little bit thicker w more sesame taste. The tang yuans were nice and chewy tho! Overall, we would rate this a 3/5, it would definitely satisfy our cravings but we can find better ones out there!
Armoury Burger - double wagyu patty with bacon, cheese, lettuce & tomato. We opted for truffle fries as well & we paid an additional $2 for it. Burger was really good! The patties were soft & tender & juicy (everything you’re looking for in a good burger) & their buns were they were soft & buttery on the inside & slightly crispy on the outside. They were also definitely generous w their portions! The truffle fries were a disappointment tho bc we couldn’t taste the truffle at all but we would definitely come back for the burger!
Mexican Guacamole Burger - double wagyu patty with bacon, avocado, cheese, lettuce & tomato. Opted for the sweet potato fries & paid additional $2 as well. Burger was similar to the armoury burger reviewed above, except that there was additional guacamole inside which gave the burger a nice texture. Sweet potato fries were really good as well, super crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Also, their prices are nett, highly recommended!!! 👍🏼 (oh they also serve plain water too)
We’ve reviewed the burger in our previous post but for this we changed our fries to onion rings for an additional $2 & the onion rings were really bomb!!!!! We loved it so much bc the batter was crispy & flavourful & it wasn’t too oily! Highly recommend y’all to get the onion rings!!! 🤩
We upsized this so it was an additional $3 but it was so worth! Portion was super big so we felt like we could do without the upsize 😱 also this is one of the best jjajangmyeon’s we’ve had so far! The noodles were nice & chewy, with just the right amount of thickness, & the black bean sauce was not too jelat (bc of the onions & chunks of meat) but flavourful at the same time! We went at 11.45am on a Saturday & we only had to wait 5 mins for our table. Highly recommended, egg was really well fried too! 👍🏼
Really impressed by their stews! It was really flavourful & had a spicy kick which we appreciated. Tastes much better than those you get @ kopitiam! Portion size was alright as well, even tho most of the ingredients were just green onions. But still worth a try if you’re looking for a not so heavy dish to accompany your jjajangmyeon! ☺️
We tried more dimsums this time round! The new dishes that we tried were the siew mai, calamari rings, mango shrimp sesame roll, pan fried carrot cake & chicken porksters. The siew mai was v flavourful & had a good bite to it. The calamari rings were soooooo good, the batter was crispy & thick, & had substantial amounts of squid inside. The mango shrimp sesame roll was crispy & nice as well. Nothing special about the carrot cake & chicken porksters. But overall, still v impressed by their dim sum! Our XLBs also has soup inside today, so it was a cheap thrill 🤩🥟 Total bill was $53 for 5 pax including 5 drinks.
We found this abit disappointing as it had quite a strong artificial taste (esp the cream cheese). Yuzu was more sweet than sour as well. It was interesting to try, but we would prefer to stick to our apple & banana pies!
Doesn’t look like much but this was really good! Came w 2 sesame & 2 peanut rice balls which were hot & chewy but soft at the same time. So good, must try!!!! 😍
We thought this was pretty meh even tho they were v generous w the aloe vera. Think a lot of honey was added as well bc we felt really thirsty after this! We would not recommend this 😟
This was pretty good! They were v generous w the durian paste, but the durian taste kind of overpowers the mango, so we would recommend getting the mango & durian sago separately next time!
Thick cut of brioche french toast topped w fresh fruits, almond & lightly drizzled w syrup. This was pretty good! It came w 3 thick slices of brioche which were soaked w loads of egg which we appreciated bc it made it v french-toasty! The sugar-coated almonds & fruits were a nice touch as well. It’s quite a hearty dish, so it’s v worth w the entertainer 1-for-1!
