The World’s First Distilled Non-Alcoholic Spirits Oh, the irony! To swing by Singapore Cocktail Festival and be bewitched by the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirits. Gorgeous branding and packaging aside, the “Garden 108” by Seedlip when mixed with tonic water and served with a bouquet of fresh herbs, intoxicated in its own way. As I brought the drink closer to my mouth, the scent of the herbs filled my nostrils, awakening my senses to greet the bloom of that first sip. It tasted of earth’s fertility to me - floral, grassy, herbal. Like lush green gardens still wet from rain, so rich yet remarkably fresh and clean. It’s simply wonderful. I love the fact that when I‘m in the mood for a good non-alcoholic cocktail, there is now this as an option. So far, it seems that Seedlip drinks can be had here and Caffe Fernet (I think there’s another spot but can’t recall where). Bottle purchase can be made at @ecproof and @templecellars. [Limited time only - about a week] Kagoshima Wagyu Fat-Washed Rye Whiskey. With the fat rendered from the A5 Kagoshima wagyu for our beef omakase dinner at @standingsushibar, the cocktail bar @the.secret.mermaid used it to infuse @catoctincreek's Roundstone Rye whiskey and triple sieved it to create this aromatic infusion. 🔸 Supply is extremely limited, so it'll only be available next week or until it runs out. A night cap at the Secret Mermaid. I must say the Wagyu fat washed whisky was really good. Check them out for some interesting cocktails. I hear that there is a beef bourguignon one coming up.

Japanese buffet Good quality food items, served with small portions, yet delightful. Works well for a buffet, which allows us to try out many different dishes. Check out this complimentary mentaiko scallop. Super good!

Thick-cut Sashimi & Good Service ($56.90++ per pax) Highlights: Thick-cut Sashimi, Mentaiko Scallop, Wagyu Beef Salmon sashimi was good! I didn't enjoy the yellowtail sashimi though. Other cooked items are quite ordinary. If you need veg, go for the okonomiyaki! Cabbage seems healthier than the ingredients in their salad - (iceberg?) lettuce, corn, cherry tomato, cucumber. The buffet comes with free ice cream :) Some hit and miss items, but overall I recommend this place! Allergen: Chawanmushi has prawn

Amazing Japanese Buffet My favourite Japanese buffet as they serve quality food. Sashimi is thick and fresh, and decent selection. Love their teapot soup and Ikura chawanmushi as well. Fast and efficient service, and they didn’t miss out any food that we ordered. Would definitely come back!! Cost: $51.90 per pax

Seafood donburi is really good We tried out the seafood donburi and truffle beef donburi. Both were good, but the seafood donburi was the better of the 2 with the variety of seafood (unagi, seaweed, shrimp, scallop). With the egg on top of the seafood donburi, the entire combination blended very well together. The beef was overall good, just with some bits slightly tougher to chew.

Truffled Beef Donburi Imagine indulging in tender beef slices drenched in well marinated sauce, topped with caviar, foie gras, scallions and a perfect onsen egg. The truffle aroma brings the taste to another level- here is a must order Donburi! 🤤

Seafood Donburi In Hotstone Bowl - Yum 🤤 This had a nice umami taste of the seafood mix- scallop, prawn🍤, fish roe, unagi and topped with an onsen egg. Yummilicious! As it is being served in a hotstone bowl, the dish came hot and I love the rice which is fragrantly charred. Highly recommended! 😋

Service lacking graciousness very confusing Burpple Beyond rules for this establishment, so we clarified w the waitress, who told us that the tacos were 2 for 1, that the pair of more expensive tacos would be charged. But when we made payment, it turned out that we were informed wrongly. Yet, the cashier on duty did not give us the 1-for-1 as the waitress had initially told us. Extremely disappointed with their lack of graciousness in recognizing their own error

Exquisite dining experience Service was really attentive. We had the steak paired with salsa verde and wine sauce. Both sauces complement the steak really well. The steak was cooked to perfection and it’s really tender ! We also had the beef tartare, the Bibb lettuce salad and the seasonal Eton mess that all went well with the meal. Very flavourful!

great steakhouse experience First time at Meadesmoore and definitely not the last:) Had Burrata, Meadesmoore cut and tiramisu. The burrata was a great light start; the freshness in the cream sauce cuts though the creamy burrata and zucchini pairing. The red wine sauce and salsa went well with the tender beef and their tiramisu was light and balanced- coffee and brandy went together seamlessly. The atmosphere was cosy and warm too; festive with a beautiful Christmas tree at the side. Would recommend for date nights, gatherings, family dinners, etc.

Jumbo Platter We tried for the 1st time grab delivery for this awesome platter that we usually eat in Sofra restaurant itself. It’s so pretty even in a take-out! Fed so many of us at home! Love it!

Kunefe It looks so good but one must appreciate coconut to like this dessert. I liked it!

Diamond baklava My favourite Turkish dessert! So yummy!

𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝘃𝗮 We started off the meal with a glass of sangria red and sangria cava. We found the former quite light and not too dry (the way we like it) and had a lovely sweetness from the fruits. The sangria cava was a spanish sparkling wine which was bright and refreshing. We would definitely recommend getting a jug (or two!) to share at the table.

𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀 𝗔𝗹 𝗔𝗷𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼 ($𝟮𝟰) Starting off with a classic, this was as good as we remembered it! The large prawns were sweet and juicy, with the garlic and olive oil offering a nice aroma. You should definitely soak up the oil with the bread and prawns for a satisfying bite.

𝗔𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼 𝗗𝗲 𝗛𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘀 ($𝟯𝟮) This tapas featured two luxurious pieces of roasted beef bone marrow. The marrow was so creamy and sinful - its rich umami flavours were really out of this world, especially when paired with the warm sourdough!
