Kho Kho Na Ra has replaced Chir Chir as my favourite fried chicken place! Batter is super crispy and not oily. Chicken meat is juicy, flavorful and not too salty. Yummy! Have you tried them?

While traditonal mudpies are usually rich, chocolatey and mud coloured, Toby's The Dessert Asylum does an unconventional one that is light, fruity and snow coloured.

Made from a sourish lemon sorbet paired with a slightly sweet vanilla bean ice cream and savoury digestive biscuit, this mud pie combination is so perfect for an after meal dessert.

I like desserts but I don't like them cloying sweet. I like mud pies but I don't like them muddy. Complicated I know. But Toby's nailed it! It's no wonder they are called The Dessert Asylum!

My lovely and affordable meal of Sweet and Sour Fried Sea Bass, Thai Omelette, Mixed Veggies and Tom Yum Soup (Total S$47++) was made even better with this sweet ending.

🌮 How about a Grilled Prawns Taco (S$12 Nett) from @CommonChefsCafe (near Sembawang Shopping Centre)?

Here, a soft wheat tortilla is served with crunchy smoked paprika prawns, mesclun salad, chopped tomatoes, black raisins and a house special spicy Mexican Mayonnaise with hard tortilla chips at the side.
.
The flavours are on point with a good mix of sweet, tangy, savoury and spicy. Even though I'm usually very adverse to raisins, I do understand why they chose to add raisins here- for a tint of sweetness. But the next time I order, I may still omit the raisins.

If you are lunching in the North, pop over and try! If taco is not your thing, there are other Mains too. Their tater tots are also good!

Delifrance was my favourite breakfast and brunch place back in my secondary school days. Affluence and the influx of cafes took me away. I'm now back for good especially since there's poached egg too!

Since then, I've not visited them for food.

But I'm happy to say that my latest dining experience at Beanstro restored my confidence in Coffee Bean. Come give them a try the next time you are looking for food at MBS. Choices are plenty, quality is good and price is also wallet friendly considering that this is a touristy place.

Apart from this beautiful Scrambled Eggs on Croissant (S$16.50++), Beanstro has introduced 18 other NEW dishes. Among them, their crispy soft shell crab salad (S$19.50++), Tiger Prawns in olive oil with roasted baguette (S$16.50++) and Honey Glazed Chicken (S$22.50++) took my heart away! ♥️
