Located at Upper Thomson, Xiang Hao Chi serves cheap Taiwanese meals in a simple, neat setting.
We had the Teriyaki Chicken rice with braised egg and fried pork cutlet with noodles and egg. Both were great and no complaints considering the price point.
We paid just only $7.80 in total with Burpple Beyond, 1 for 1.
Price range of the dishes are ard $6.80-8.80, made even more value for money with Beyond.
Will visit again!
Came back a second time. Had the Mexican Pulled Pork bowl served with smashed avocado, brown rice and corn while my bf had the Steak & Egg bowl. Both were good and value for money only with Beyond. Quiet place to have a nice chat but they close early at 7.45pm. Total bill $14 for 2 dishes using 1 for 1 Beyond.
Enjoyed Burpple beyond and we could DIY our don. Quite a wide range of options available. Pretty cheap and will visit again! Easily found the cafe at Raffles Place ($12 in total).
Quiet place due to the ongoing construction at Shaw House. Value for money with Burpple. Pasta at $9.30 and Pizza $14+. DIY at the same price too & you can choose as many ingredients as you want, they will portion it accordingly. Only bad is the pasta I had was too salty.
Had the Pulled Pork Egg Benedict and Steak & Egg bowl with my friend. Both were great, total bill amount to $14 with Beyond. Definitely worth it. However they close pretty early before 8pm.
Chill coffee spot located right outside Scape with glass panels that allow you to 'bask' in the sun. We had the 1 for 1 regular beverage and enjoyed a nice afternoon there.
Apologies for blurred image.
We like that it opens till 9pm near CBD, the pork bowl was great and very very filling. I find the Wagyu beef too tough to bite but my friend enjoyed it. Both meats are slightly charred. Worth it with Beyond redemption!
Service is good, portion quite small unless you order the bigger size bowl. We had the Salmon Mentaiko Don and Truffle Wagyu Don with onsen egg. Can't really taste the truffle though the smell was there. But it still taste pretty good and Wagyu Beef mixed well with the sauce. My partner enjoyed the Salmon Mentaiko bowl as well.
Note that the rice portion is smaller than other places too.
Worth it only if there's 1 For 1 Burpple Beyond!
Slightly disappointed as we thought we could redeem 3 categories under Burpple Beyond (Steamed, Congee & Pan-fried) but it turns out you can only redeem one category per Beyond subscription. We chose the congee of higher value.
The Salted Egg Yolk Custard Buns were really good as they spam lots of salted egg lava and the fish congee is flavorful & homely.
Xiaolongbao was okay. Japanese Dumpling (though recommended on the list) was slightly underwhelming and we don't recommend it.
Honey BBQ Pork Buns were not bad but might be a bit too sweet for some.
Overall still worth a hearty lunch meal!
Spent $31 for 2 pax with the amount pictured above + the bowl of century egg congee not featured in the image.
Had the strawberry and grape yogurt at 1 for 1 topped with waffles($3.50). Visited on a Sat night and it was very crowded, with barely any aircon. Friendly staff though.
Crowded when I visited on Sat for lunch, it would be advisable to place reservation in advance. Nice dumplings with three choices of noodles and complimentary ramen eggs.
Had the original and smoked duck and we still prefer the original.
Worth it with 1 for 1 Beyond.
$23 in total for 2 dishes.
Nice place to chill with your friends with a few card games available. Duck serving is quite small and pulled pork burger is a little plain as its just the bun with pork and cabbage. It wasnt truffle fries as described below but overall still a great cafe experience!
