$7.50 for PF tart
The pain au chocolat was $5 ish I think (canā€™t rmb) I really enjoyed both but I preferred the tangy tart and the croissant was p standard!! And Iā€™m not rly a nuts person so it was okay only ~

PF tart: 8/10 (pretty small portion :/)
Pain Au Chocolat: 7/10 (canā€™t go wrong w chocolate and croissants!)

Calamari: $19
TF: $17

Because we started with this (for some reason they didnā€™t serve us our mains until reaaaally long later so minus marks for service) we thought these two were decent. The calamari batter wasnā€™t the best Iā€™ve tasted to be honest but still quite good when you pair it with the sauce (some white and tomato sauce? We never really figured it out) and the truffle fries.... well was just your typical truffle fries la hor. The dipping truffle Mayo was good, even with blended pieces of mushroom in it ~ I would give the actual appetisers maybe a 7.7/10 and the truffle Mayo 8/10 šŸ™ƒ

$24.00 / this was his dish. he usually loves carbonara but he didnā€™t finish this (also partly due to gigantic portion of appetisers - see later review) when I tried it the one thing that was the strongest would be the eggy taste. I quite liked it (ā€˜twas a refreshing taste from my overly salted prosciutto pasta) but he didnā€™t enjoy it because it was too jelak for him.... so oops apparently the only redeeming factor of the meal was that he was eating it w me šŸ„²
His rating: 6.2/10 (ā€œIā€™ll be niceā€)

$28.00 / tasted strangely like pasta maniaā€™s creamy chicken (maybe the same cream base??) but i overall enjoyed approximately the first half of the meal then it started getting waaaaay too salty and my tongue actually became kinda numb toward the end. Only redeeming ingredient would be the veggies. And thatā€™s saying a lot. Pasta was nicely al dente tho šŸ™šŸ¾ I was left so thirsty the next few hours from the S A L T in this. 5/10 šŸ˜” and THIS WAS SO PRICEY for the sub par quality.....

($15)
Her: 7/10
Him: 5.5/10 (yikes, heā€™s rarely savage)
This burger was SALTY. The patty was a bit too uneven for me though but that was negligible over the yummy mix of the egg and cheese....!! The fries were too salty imo but we are all sodium slaves arenā€™t we....

($15.90)
Her: 7/10
Him: 7.5/10 (sans scallops because ā€œfish are friendsā€)

Hmm overall it was a mediocre such I felt the sauce was too sweet for salted egg sauce! But he generally enjoyed the pasta so. The scallops were overcooked imo it was not like. Idk juicy or tender, it was almost creamy (?!) in the texture which was NOT what scallops should taste like (right?) but Iā€™m not a scallop or seafood connoisseur so...

Her: 7.5/10
Him: 8/10
Plot twist this came with like PEARS on it we were very bewildered (but was our bad since we didnā€™t register the fruit when reading the menu lols) I liken the pear to like old cucumber type of taste, I felt it did add a bit of sweet balance to the otherwise heavy salty cream and chicken toppings! But I rated it lower than him because it got gelat at the end... and I felt it was way too salty in general šŸ„“

Not pictured: Banana PB Caramel Milkshake! This was a solid 9/10 for me, and Iā€™m not even a banana milk fan person. I really appreciated the strong nuttiness of the drink and how it didnā€™t have inconsistencies in the blended texture. And the caramel wasnā€™t overwhelmingly sweet like we expected. YUM.

Tbh this place has pretty nice homey vibes, I saw some bad reviews but I wouldnā€™t mind going back to try their dessert pancakes actually šŸ¤—

The pancakes with cream cheese & sweet corn were 9/10 for me. But Htet doesnā€™t like the medley of textures so he gives it a 7.5...but he really liked the eggs which looked visually unappealing to me šŸ¤Ø and gives it an 8.5/10~ canā€™t really go wrong with smoked salmon but could tell it wasnā€™t really the fresh type (more like the kind u buy off the shelf from NTUC or Giant) not complaining though, any salmon is good salmon for this girl here

Mentaiko ($3.30) - I really enjoyed this more than I expected! Am a fan of mentaiko but not originally a fan of having these type of hybrid foods. BUT this blew my mind in a positive way, was super good and could taste the mentaiko (and not just the Mayo part)!!! And apparently there was cheese in the layers as well (or so my sister claims) but overall was shiok especially after heated up. New way of eating mentaikoooo 8.5/10 šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©

Cheesecake ($i forgot) - I thought I would like this more because I am a fan of cheesecake but I think I had too high expectations (??) it felt more like soft cookie texture (like the kind of sweet buns u can get from Swee Heng) but my sister liked this one more than the mentaiko one so I suppose itā€™s all personal taste šŸ„“ 7/10 for me!

Tried this HIGHLY RAAAAAVED bun but was a tad disappointed? Iā€™m not sure why it tasted so bitter to me but maybe Iā€™m just more a fan of cheap sweetened matcha lol maybe Iā€™m just a NEWB PLEbian but my sister really enjoyed the balance between the bitterness and sweetness of the matcha lava! And we both enjoyed the crumb and bread part of the bun which was not too bitter nor sweet šŸ‘šŸ¼

Rating: 7.5/10 enjoy it, but probably wouldnā€™t travel all the way down to wait for the buns to be freshly baked and released (note: it sold out within 4 minutes of it coming out of the kitchen.....)

Fish & Chips: ONE OF THE BEST. The only other best was probably the one I had at Taronga Zoo, Sydney lol. The fish was super moist and tender, and the batter was well done, didnā€™t separate from the meat. Fries & salad were average and edible but they arenā€™t the star of this dish šŸ¤© 10/10 would eat again

Cheeseburg: was average, just your typical beef burger with a relatively strange BBQ sauce...šŸ¤Ø 6/10

Chickenburg: THIS PATTY JUST STRANGE... the texture was off, the taste was more tofu-ey? I was 75% convinced they secretly swapped out a chicken patty with a vegetarian one??? But my partner couldnā€™t decide on what it tasted like. Bottom line: NOT. REALLY. CHICKEN. ?? 3/10

Side of truffle fries: portion was huge, truffle was adequate, not something to rave about but it was a good filler for two broke students :-) 7/10

Red Velvet latte: this was not my choice. My partner assumed it would taste like a red velvet cake but since it was technically beetroot latte... šŸ™‚ 6/10 really mild taste of beetroot! But pretty latte art la

Ambience: 9/10! Rly liked the interior and for students we think that there were plugs in the tables inside but usually those tables are reserved (even on a Monday lunch!) other than that though, was fun to do work in front of a bar šŸ˜¬šŸ˜¬šŸ˜¬

Overall tbh would still go back to eat dem fish & chips. And maybe try their dinner menu / bar drinks!

Miso Salmon Carbonara ($16) - was a terrible dish although it could just be my order since the people at the next table got a much SILKIER AND CREAMIER looking one. Not sure, maybe the Chef thought I had an RBF or maybe he left mine on the fire too Long. Mine was basically like instant noodles and egg. Literally egg sauce that solidified into clumps of egg and miso. Nasty stuff. The salmon bits was saving grace (kinda)

Chicken Parmigiana ($16) - I liked the tomato sauce combination w the cheese. Not sure how that can go wrong tbh, but anyway the chicken texture was weird. We thought maybe they sliced a breast laterally and pieced them together? And then fried them as one singular piece? Idk. The chicken was also SO oily... and also the coleslaw is more pickled sauerkraut type which I preferred! (but couldnā€™t stomach because of terrible carbonara above)

Never walking and paying for this again šŸ™‚šŸ„“
