Budae Jjigae (Original Korean Army Stew) $25.90 V comforting dish. Army stew is no stranger to people who are familiar with the Korean cuisine, and this dish tastes like any other army stews you can get (nothing special!) We did notice that the choice of ingredients is interesting. It felt a bit more Chinese, as opposed to Korean. Maybe because they added Chinese mushrooms and lots of sausages. 3 of us shared this and we were v stuffed! We only ordered one other side dish and a bowl of rice to go long with this.

Harry’s Can never go wrong with Harry’s! We ordered their mushroom and truffle oil flatbread (absolute favorite!), Margherita flatbread, caprese pasta and fish and chips!

Signature Burger This one's good if you like your burger patty well seasoned. As always, love their fries, can't be satisfied with fries at other western outlets in the CBD after Harry's.

Fish & Chips My new fave place for Fish & Chips ($22), comes pipping hot with crisp batter and delightfully moist fish fillets. Perfect fries & creamy yummilicious coleslaw to go alongside too.

Crab Hotpot Served With Prawn Noodles On The Side The owner was proudly sharing his soup recipe to the diners seated beside us as we were having our meal. His secret? Quality ingredients. Our hotpot was served with pieces of pork rib and pig tail, lean pork slices, some innards, white clams, huge prawns, crab and white cabbage. Taste: 7/10 Price: 6/10 (We paid a total of $50 for a huge pot full of quality ingredients and 2 bowls of refillable prawn noodles.. It was definitely not an expensive meal, but considering the soup base was the prawn noodle broth and each bowl of prawn mee goes for $10, I’m not too sure if I would return for this hotpot..)

Crab Steamboat Crab Steamboat ($55) . After facing rejection countless times due to the need to brave the heat eating at a hawker centre, I finally managed to grab a companion to join me at Wen Wen Pork Rib Prawn Noodle to try their Crab Steamboat on a rainy evening. According to the stall, it is best that this steamboat be had after 6pm as that’s when the stock has developed enough flavour after simmering for the entire day. He was right! Most prawn mee stock I’ve had is usually murky from all the pork being cooked. Instead, Wen Wen’s was a clear broth that packed mainly the sweet umami goodness of all the seafood. So for the price, we get pork ribs, pig’s tail, pig intestines, big prawns, clams, and the crab full of roe. With so much seafood simmering over a slow fire during the meal, the prize really is the taste of the soup towards the end of our meal. Do note that you are also allowed to bring your own ingredients to add to the steamboat and I would strongly recommend bring more vegetables as it’ll cost $5/bowl from the stall.

Wen Wen Hotpot ($55~$80) Wen Wen Big Prawn Mee is now back at the newly renovated Geylang Bahru Market & Food Centre! All I can is that soup is just as shiok, uncle Richard is just as friendly and the experience just as fun as before (sadly, no more lala). He even has his own add-ons now like veg and fresh pork shabu shabu so you don’t have to bring your own (though you still can).

Belgium Chocolate Smores 8nett(Cake Club) Really appreciate the fact that cake club allows you to try cakes from bakeries that otherwise only sells whole cakes. The chocolate cake approaches the texture of a brownie, and it was quite moist. There's nice little crunchy bits inside apart from the crushed cookies on top. However the smores taste is severely lacking

Premium beef slice mee Xian 12.9++ Broth and mixian were alright, beef slices were too tough, not premium at all

Hakka century egg noodles spicy sauce Add minced meat +1++, beef tendon +4.8++ and bursting meatballs +3.8++ This is my third time eating so I think I have to be honest w myself now. It's the case where the ingredients are all good, from the springy noodles to the well seasoned minced meat and the gooey century egg. But they don't work particularly well tgt because the noodles don't physically mix w the ingredients, the century egg doesnt mesh well, not contributing to the overall taste profile much and the chili was way too spicy. Nothing is particularly jarring cos they all don't have too much character Beef tendon and bursting meatballs were both alright not impressive

Dumpling Soup ($12.90) hmmm dumpling still ok for me but then the soup base still spicy for me.

Red Bean Pancake ($8) (Part 8 of 8) This is a very rustic version of the dish and incomparable to the one I had at YAN @ National Gallery. The skin could have been crispier and more intact with a greater portion of sesame seeds evenly distributed on top. Their red bean filling was thick but somehow felt that it overwhelmed the outer pancake layers at times, inconsistent red bean to dough ratio. It's still a great way to end off the meal though, washing it all down with a cup of warm Chinese Tea. Salted Egg Yolk Prawns ($26 for Medium) (Part 6 of 8) There was a strong aroma of salted egg wafting through the air right above the dish, causing me to steal a piece almost immediately after it was served. Unfortunately, my first impression wasn't quite as good as the coating of salted egg that I got was bland. After a few more pieces though, I realised that there was indeed some that had a flavourful crust to it with loads of flavour matching the strong aroma it was giving off. So there was some inconsistency in the distribution of flavours but a tremendous plus point for me would be their plump, juicy and moist prawns which I was pleasantly surprised to discover, especially considering how the exterior remained crisp and crunchy. Great Pizza Doesn't seem $16.90 worthy each but with Burpple 1 for 1 it is a good bargain! They have 1 for 1 deals as well without Burpple on weekdays lunch do check them out Pizza crust was thin and crispy and went well for a hearty meal
