FATCAT for my second time which I was dragged by a friend and I was so reluctant in the first place because of their TERRIBLE services during my first visit. But the second visit was great, especially served by that particular girl (don't know her name but she has a medium height and long hair with no make up on, typical girl). So the $3.90 scoop of the banana caramel is worthy this time! Haha! Thumbs up!
Total amount spent for the dinner is only $11.50 for two pax. We ordered the "red dot" fish head soup ($6.50), fortune fish ($3), the marinated veg ($1, not nice) and two bowls of rice ($.5 each)! The veg is bad, but the fortune fish is nice. The fish head soup has bitter grout in it, and simply taste like a mixture of salty, fishy and bitter, of coz it tasted more salty. Next time may come back for the other soups.
Two prices set meal comes with radish, fries and drinks at only $7.90! There are few sauces namely swicy (which is my favorite), cheese, mustard and many more! Guess there are few more outlets islandwide too!
What's the best to ease your stress when the mid-week is here? DESSERTS! That's it! Being a student or staff in university enjoy the cheaper food all around the university compound and here's the ice cream waffle at only $2!! You'll never find that price outside of the university.
Yummy!!! Craving ice cream for long and finally, grab a cup of soft served ice cream makes me feel like a kid! 😝 A $6 seasonal flavor as the title is enough replace my Monday blue! Wide smile now!
Happened to pass by Nakhon Kitchen at Bedok North and realized there is no queue on Friday 6pm! Quickly sit down and enjoy the dinner 😁 Ordered the mango salad ($5) which I found it is quite tasty, the fried squid rings in sweet sour spicy Thai sauce and the superb tom kha soup (with coconut milk)! And the total cost is only $26 for two pax.
I shouldn't say it is one of chilling place though, because all Starbucks outlets are conquered by students and salesperson. It is thousand times harder for you to get a seat as compared to the other café like those along east coast park! Anyway, I'm here because of the lemon ginger mango jelly refreshing drink! Best drink for the sunny hot afternoon 👍🏻
This is a hidden treasure in bedok north neighborhood area!! Okay, the menu isn't that fancy like the other cafés and there were few people came in and out without having anything. But for coffee addict like me, this place serves very good coffee. The photo shown is the espresso tonic ($5.5) which is the double shots of espresso with tonic water and lime! The earl grey bundt cake ($3.5) is just alright, I don't want to say it's not nice because this place is so cozy and chill that I love it much and don't want to leave any negative comment! Hahaa! Btw, I ordered the $6 filtered coffee too.
The serving is never for one pax! It is a lot and I guess it is the whole chicken cutting into pieces. This cost roughly $30 and below. Very nice anyway. Try it yourself 😍
There's so many dialects calling the sambal fish differently. My friend corrected me as hanghe. I don't really know which is correct one. Hahhaa! Anyway, the stingray that I ordered is meaty can cost me $15. The sambal is just nice, not so spicy and not too oily. Overall not bad lah.
What's so special about this post is that "JULY SPECIAL" has ended! Hahaha! So hopefully the photo ease your thirst and here I introduce the soft served sea salt and gula melaka ice cream. It used to serve with cotton candy surrounding it, but too bad, the candy is run out of stock. But the caramel balls taste crunchy and yummy! Not sure what's the coming month specialties but looking forward for more ice cream as the cakes did not satisfy me much 😁
Alright, all desserts can cheer one's hectic/stressful/sad day! Let's forget about the fats but emphasize on the happiness. I do write on their FB page by praising their service which is thousand folds better than the FC (well, guess it yourself what's FC café I'm mentioning)! I'll never return to FC but simplicité is the opposite. I wish to go there as it's not packed and crowded and stressed and the people there are just too friendly. They have the weird tastes of ice cream, try it out yourself as I'm not going to mention each of them. One thing good is that their operating hours are slightly longer than any other café! Try it out!
