Economic Rice $6 I enjoyed my latest meal from Xing Long so much I went straight back and ordered the exact same combination to go. Always get their otah, as their rendition is smooth and lemak. On hindsight and probably the reason why I enjoyed this iteration more than on my last visit, was because my subconscious selections were more akin to nasi lemak than economic rice. Sayur lodeh, a generous serving of fried chicken wing and a huge ass begedil rounded out my heaving plate. The 3 types of chilli available are all amazing, from the piquant chicken rice-style chilli sauce, to the sweet and spicy sambal and soy sauce-soaked cut chilli. Mix into the rice, dab onto the ingredients or eat them straight up, each and every way is enjoyable. Taste: 3.5/5

Economic Rice $8 Whilst most of the items were only average at this “chap chye png” stall, the much talked about otah definitely lived up to its hype with the fragrant, “lemak” creaminess of a good Muah otah. I might have gone a little overboard getting scrambled eggs, stir-fried snow peas with tofu, sweet & sour pork and chicken wing as well, setting myself back for a not inconsiderable $8. Mushroom Cheese Prata Mushroom Cheese Prata ($2.50) This prata is probably one of the best I have had in a very long time! The plain prata ($1) was super crispy and fluffy while the mushroom cheese prata just felt so yummiliciously full of ingredients🙌🏻! The curry was also equally satisfying but with the prata made this shiok, I am torn between using the curry and enjoying it all natural! I am missing this prata place already!! Unfortunately, this shop doesn't have a name, save for the fact that it is located in Chun Sheng Yuan Eating House along upper bukit timah road. I heard that this eating house gets quite crowded on weekends despite its inaccessibility!

Prata Plain ($1.00), Prata Onion ($1.20) Dropped by for breakfast/lunch while on the way to school and found this hidden gem from the Indian Muslim stall from the coffeeshop at the fringe of Bukit Panjang. The Prata is delightfully crisp on the exterior, but maintains a tension inside which stops it from becoming biscuit-like. The onion version came with chunks of onion all over, although not evenly spread but still pretty delicious. Accompanying the Prata is flavourful curry that is all thick without being too spicy; so good you would want to mop it all up even before you are left with the last piece of Prata!

prata @ chun sheng eating house. when you burnt 700 calories over a 60 mins run but put back 500 calories in less than 15 minutes. hard life but soo worth it. noticed they make their own prata dough rather than commercial supply, so that's a keeper already! remember to have the prawn noodles there too!

Signature Wanton Mee @ $4.50 Springy Noodles, and chilli not bad. Can eat if nearby. No need to travel all the way here 4 this. Portion quite big, wife couldn't finish.

Battle Of Wanton Mee CCK190 was okay, but it's outdone in practically every department by 51明发, which is possibly the best wanton mee to me. Its seasoning and soup are the mark of a master.

CCK190 Wanton Mee Ordered the spicy black sauce Wanton Mee. The fried wantons were crispy and appetizing. Dip them in the sweet chilli sauce...yumz! What really stood up was the dumpling soup. The dumpling was so plump and was filled with prawn and minced meat.

Sit down chat and coffee finally got a chance to sit down and relax and have some good coffee, yoghurt and cakes because we were too early for check in but nonetheless it was all good with food! #fwntravels
