Crab with Padangese Sauce. Padangese are famous for their spicy with coconut milk sauce which is what this crab is cooked with. Love the slight sour taste in it.
Fried Shrimp in salted duck egg. This has got to be the magic of the night. It just burst together in your mouth like Bonnie & Clyde đđ this is 5 out of 5. The seafood was fresh since I didn't experience any alergic reaction.
I love this dish simply because of the strong smoked aroma and the sauce which is actually Rendang sauce that goes really well with white rice :9
Kaledo Soup from Central Sulawesi. Here is my first lunch of 2014. I've been wanting to eat this since I set foot in Jakarta but I only got the chance on New Year. Cheeky eh. This is a bone marrow of a cow and what we eat actually is the marrow (eating the bone would be bad for your teeth) by sucking it out straight (the fun way) or sucking it with a straw (the weird way but safer). Rating for the restaurant is 3 out of 5. They made it too salty when it's supposed to be slightly salty and sour because of the use of lime as the base of the soup. But I did finish the whole bowl so it's not bad :9 For the price is around 2.3 SGD #latepost #bonemarrow #kaledo #tebet #indonesian
This week, Cugini has a special off-the-menu handmade pasta infused w beetroot juice (the same stuff that goes into red velvet cakesâyum!) w a most tasty lemon an bottarga sauce. We're loving it so much we hope they decide to add it to the regular menu! đđ #handmade #italian #pastas #cugini #foodporn #food
This is one of the best pizza place in Indo. The pizza range from S$5-S$10 per pan. The owners are Italians so they probably know what they're doing ;) Cheap as and the quality and taste are off the charts. And the ambience is really cozy and i love their vintage / hippie design. Recommended Pizza: Diavola, Parma & Salsicia.
Tender and sweet, made me a happy child :9 Absolutely worth it for $15.90 of half a chicken. (Late post)
