It's the best chirashi don I ever had in Singapore . The fish was fresh as if it was just alive a few moments ago before I eat it . The portion was generous and the service was good. We almost ordered the same kind of sashimi that was already in the chirashi don but luckily the waitress reminded us. Their another side dish which is ikura oroshi is also superb and underrated . Who could have thought the mix of yam paste and ikura would be so refreshing. Yummy! Would def go back when I m craving for Japanese food!

Taking the honeycomb trend beyond soft serve yogurt and ice-cream, and putting a spin on it is Cicheti. You can now ask for additional topping of organic honey for their Quattro Formaggi pizza at only $2. I highly recommend it as the honey tastes absolutely divine with the strong flavours of the four cheeses.

Rabbit Owl Depot's signature item would have to be their Snowflake Waffles. These uniquely-shaped waffles with the sprinkle of icing sugar certainly gives the dessert a festive feel. Not only does the waffles smell of buttermilk goodness, it's fragrant, crisp and fluffy. Earl Grey Ice-Cream is aromatic, yet milky and creamy with a slight sticky consistency. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Chocolate lovers beware; this shiny ball of chocolate consists of not only chocolate but chocolate! Smooth chocolate ganache covers off the ball of thick chocolate mousse inside, without being either overly sweet not overly heaty. If there is any definition of sexiness in chocolate, this would well fit the description!

With high ceilings, plywood tables, and humble stools, this cafe nestled in the Lavender/Jalan Besar area makes for a good stop for that caffeine fix while working on the go. True to their location, their special lavender latte ($5.50) is a total hit, as is their pancake stack served with bananas, ricotta, and drizzled with honey and crushed pistachio ($15). Remember to push the gold door if you're struggling to find the entrance!
