Thai Wanton Noodles ($4.50); Helmed by young friendly hawkers, the noodles here are tossed and seasoned with fish sauce & lard, served with garlic pork slices and fried wantons. Instead of the usual Char-siews, the wanton noodles here comes with generous portion of stir fried garlic pork slices. I enjoyed eating the pork slices, very tasty! Their menu also includes snacks like Thai fried chicken wings and Thai fried pork belly, which I'll definitely come back and eat them all.

Thai Fusion Wonton Mee ($3.50) What you can expect: garlicky, tangy marinated pork slices (just 4 though), a pair of fried wonton (delicious!), and egg noodles bathed in gravy with a distinct meaty flavour. Starchy noodles are normally anathema to me, but the hint of starchiness here blended seamlessly with the sauce and gave it a nice viscosity. A pretty decent meal but no wow-factor. Maybe because the fusion trend is getting a bit hackneyed… 🏅 7/10 💭 Try if you’re in AMK but uninspired about what to eat

Crab Meat Scramble From Chock Full Of Beans Had the pleasure of enjoying a crab meat scramble egg for brunch on the east side of the island, and it was delightful! The eggs were perfectly fluffy, and the generous chunks of fresh crab meat added a rich, savory flavor. Paired with some crispy garlic toast, it made for an incredibly satisfying meal. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to start your day. Highly recommend giving this dish a try if you're in the area!

USDA Prime Boneless Short Ribs $50 for a double portion as pictured (360grams) Very good quality beef with a light, seeet marinate that does a good job of showcasing the beef's natural flavor. A must order at any good Korean BBQ and this place does it well.

😋😋😋 Hansul Korean Restaurant Soy Boneless Chicken ($12.90), Ginseng Chicken Soup ($16.90) & Spicy Boneless Chicken ($12.90)! The waiter gave us the wrong boneless chicken where we are supposed to get the soy instead of the spicy one. They changed the order for us later on and have to say the ginseng chicken soup is the MVP! Love the soup which is so savoury and the tender chicken in it!

But the food quality is not bad! Like the soup is really tasty and better than or on par with other Korean places I been to along the Korean food street haha! Bravery Chicken Ragu Bravery Chicken Ragu ($18) features a piece of herbed chicken thigh on top of al dente spaghetti tossed with mushroom and roasted vegetables in creamy ragout sauce. The chicken is tender and moist, while the sauce is creamy but not too heavy. Cream pasta is not usually my first choice of pasta but this was enjoyable. The portion is very generous as well. Yums!

Lavender Latte ($6) Your typical latte but with the fragrance of lavender. Coffee was standard but the lavender made it quite unique - it was an interesting coming together of the aromas. The dried lavender bits can be quite strong so you may want to avoid actually chewing into them if you’re not a fan of strong aromas. I wouldn’t get this again but it was interesting to try. Visited on an afternoon of a Public Holiday and the cafe was not too busy, had some seats available for my friend and I. Staff were friendly.

For Spicy Tom Yum Noodles This stand-alone stall within Rivervale Plaza is hard to find, but well worth the hunt. Located across the cashier section of NTUC, Boat Noodle Express dishes out hearty portions of Thai noodles. The menu is simple — choose to either have pork or beef, and in tom yum broth, soup or dry (from $4.80). From there, select your noodles (glass noodle, bee hoon, kway teow and tang hoon) before indicating to the staff if you would like to have additional chilli flakes. Spice lovers will have a field day with the crowd favourite Pork Tom Yam Noodles ($5.50) — the spicy version doesn't hold back and packs a punch! While the other sides like Thai Fish Cakes ($3.50 for two pieces) didn't impress as much, a generous portion of Pork Lard ($2.80) is worth splurging on. 3rd month opening of this Traditional Charcoal Bak Kut Teh Shop in the quiet hood of Lorong Ah Soo. Last time I was here, it was the shop of a Taiwanese food and bento shop. Just next door of Flavour Flings. Run by 2 young chaps, in a rather clean and re-modernised yet retro shop place. We tried their Claypot Mee Sua($5.50) & Claypot Chicken($8). The Claypot Mee Sua sadly isn't with Bak Kut Teh soup, but another soup based and there's a surprise egg within the dish! The claypot chicken was labelled as a must try dish, savoury saucy dish with chicken. However, the chicken wasn't tender enough. Overall, experience was decent just abit annoyed with the flying pests around when you are eating. And maybe to try out their BKT the next time round. Checked out this very new hidden eatery in Lorong Ah Soo for our TEA time, serving traditional charcoal Bah Kut Teh. Fresh pork ribs is used, thus the steeper price($7.50). The light peppery soup base has a hint of herbal fragrance from the 当归(Chinese Angelica Root). Definitely not the usual Teochew-style BKT that we are used to. Did I forget to mention that they brew their own light soya sauce as well? 😱😱 I can sense the passion of the boss and chef in using the best ingredients, and the drive in making everything from scratch!Respect much, will be back!! 😍😍

Another great meal here Not reviewing cos it's the same items we got last time, but the fact that I rarely go back to a restaurant, much less order the same items should be sufficient info regarding how insanely good the food here is When they ask you if you want fish or ckn curry, just get both Pappadums are great at scooping up sauces and such And honestly the mutton, although not the most tender, combines w the crazy intense sauce to give a slightly jammy texture which was quite interesting Lovely, and a must try no matter where u stay. They are the best that I can recall. But the foods are spicy tho, enough to slow you down and necessitate sips of their excellent lime juice. How special lime juice tastes when it's freshly squeezed instead of made from concentrate

Egg Masala (SGD $1.10) @ Karu's Indian Banana Leaf Restaurant. The South Indian style here has this rendition coated in a thick chili paste, juicy and oily with sharp spicy salty savoury flavour. . The hard-boiled egg has a springy soft chew to texture, with the natural eggy sweet flavour complemented by the fiery chili. . Goes well with rice. Yum. . . . Green Curry Being a coffee shop managed by Thai people, many people would come here for their authentic Thai foods in one of the stall. Ocean Thai Food served various Thai foods including the green curry, coming in a hot pot with lots of chicken meats and other ingredients inside. The soup was really tasty and wasn’t too spicy. $7 with a plate of rice.
