i was introduced to this place as the ‘more affordable din tai fung’ hahaha so had to give it a try. tomato egg noodles were pretty decent but because i got it to go, the soup wasn’t piping hot when i put the noodles in so they were a little clumpy :( but the tomato broth was still rich and had that distinct sweet-sour flavour which i liked.
Fried rice with Chinese sausage @ $6
Chanced upon this place and it somehow looks inviting so we decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint.
Really good standard for the fried rice.
Better still if you add on the chilli that you can help yourself with on the table. There's also some small veggie inside which gives a different texture to the entire dish.
All in all, a great experience, especially given the price point being very reasonable and affordable!
Secret recipe dry noodles with pork @ $6.50
Chanced upon this place and it somehow looks inviting so we decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint.
The noodles was cooked just nice, not overly done. The pork chop was also tasty and tender not chewy at all. The sauce is the best, giving the whole dish a great umami taste.
It came with that small bit of chilli as shown in the photo but they have the chilli on the table that you can help yourself. The chilli is really great and it does have a bit of spiciness to it (not just salty like some other places).
All in all, a really good experience, especially given the price point is really affordable and reasonable too!
Stir-fried Rice with Pork Ribs ($6.50)
This was q a comforting fried rice! Altho there wasn't wokhei, it was still q enjoyable! The pork cutlet was flavourful, and altho not the most tender, it's still pretty soft!
Hits and misses here, but still a "can-try" if you're near the area, but you gotta order the right items!
Spicy Wontons 红油抄手 ($5/ 8pcs)
Each wonton was pretty small here, with too little fillings to be satisfying. Overall was just alright.
Pan fried dumpling ($6.50/ 10 pcs)
Q enjoyed their Dumplings! These came with the crispy bits which I love, and I liked that the dumplings were q filled, and pretty flavourful! Fillings weren't dry as well, a dish worth trying if you're nearby the area!
