Sri Petaling has so many new cafe and eateries opening and closing every now and then. This is one of the newbies in the area. It was located on upper floor of a lot just beside the multi levels car park. So destination ✅. All cafe needs a special features to keep them going, and what I think 5.1 have is the environment, cozy and quiet. It was really suitable for people who is looking for a place to study and read. I think not much cafe in kl can offer that. Environment ✅. Price of the food and drinks here are reasonable. Portion is just nice for a normal eater. Price ✅. Then comes the most important feature a foodie seek for - TASTE. Food is served hot. I like my black pepper pork cubes, although the menu mentioned it should be pork chop. But that's ok. It's just some extra cut on the piece. Food ✅ was OK. 4 positive checkpoints. It's not bad right? But I think they can be a big player if more ideas and creativeness is brought into the food. More variety and more surprises on the plate. And possibly some improvement on the drinks, it was like I am making a quick BOH tea at my home. Price: RM25. Food: 7/10
It was a tea time set, RM15.90 for a slice of cake of the day and add RM5 for a choice of tea/coffee. There were two choices for the cake, so I went with this Kahlua Chocolate cake. Tasted like any other cheesecake, chocolate ganache attracted ants (yes, ants) to the coffee table, such a mild kahlua taste you had to close your eyes to picture it. Not a complete let down, but I won't be coming here again.
