6 restaurant. There’s No. 8 and No. 9 down the road but look out for C&N Hotel, No. 6 is just right across. As much as I thought this would be a less touristy dining spot, we can’t deny that Phuket has tonnes of tourists and news spread, so.. expect many foreigners who found their way there nonetheless. The area is pretty small and can only sit around 50 odd people. My group of 8 had no choice but to split up. There were so many things I wanted to try so in the end, we ordered 9 dishes.
1. Battered Calamari - Crispy and the squid was fresh, served with Thai chilli
2. Tom Yum Goong - Well, it was not as spicy as I’d have liked but the soup had a good blend of spices esp the kaffir lime. Quite sour indeed!
3. Basil Pork - Thoroughly marinated and stir fried to goodness. Couldn’t resist even the holy basil
4. Glass Noodles with Prawns - I didn’t think much about this but seeing the next table ordered, I couldn’t not try it. And it turned out, amazing! It was well seasoned and had lots of sliced onions and fresh prawns in there.
5. Pineapple Fried Rice - Loaded with spices, peas, chicken and everything delish!
6. Mango Salad - I’ve a weakness for any dishes with nuts and yes, this has peanuts on them!!! Additionally, I love the refreshing aftertaste which makes me crave for more food!
7. Stir Fried Kailan - Not enough leafy greens but who’s up for more crunchy stalks? 🙋🏼♀️
8. Clams!!! - I’m not a seafood person but just looking at that plate of spicy garlicky clams makes me salivate. Verdict? A must order if you love your shellfood. The clams are not the teeny ones but the fat and chewy ones with a shiok spicy kick to it.
9. Mango Sticky Rice - Not something I can resist when in Thailand. One whole mango and warm sticky rice is served with, what???? we also had clear tom yum soup which was almost not spicy lol. very unlike the usual tom yum soup, but so drinkable. i like!!
