They have moved from Fook Hai Building into one of the shophouse along North Canal Road, just a few mins walk from their old place across Hong Lim Park.
Expect the same menu with a much cozy space here. As for their salted egg chicken rice, I still felt the sauce wasn’t that much and a bit dry for the meat.
Chanced upon this eating house recently while walking around the working area for lunch, and i ordered the Salted Egg Chicken Cube with Rice for lunch. The sauce was rich and creamy, and paired perfectly with the chicken cubes. The set includes an egg as well.

A hidden gem located at Fook Hai Building, this unassuming zi char stall serves up a variety of local delights at pocket-friendly prices. -
Ordered the Salted Egg Yolk Pork Ribs Rice ($7) today and boy, it was love at first bite! Deep-fried, crispy pork ribs coated with rich and creamy salted egg yolk sauce. -

Expensive hor?
I thought so too. Bloody $18 for a squid leh!!! But nicer than the Chirashi Don (view previous post).
But this goes damn well with drinks lah wth. By drinks, I meant alcoholic drinks. If you are there for their happy hour and you want something to snack on, I recommend this or their yakitori (skewers).
This is more shiok but can only order one cos too expensive LOL

Their zichar is so far, one of the better ones I have had and 9/10 times I will be ordering this same dish. The meat is thick and succulent. Topped with that beautiful sunshine it makes a beautiful canvas on a plate. Rainbow Rice House is just below Hong Lim market.
