In case you are looking for this stall at the market, they actually moved to coffee shop nearby.
Now located within Hua Hua Eating House, a few steps away from their original place in the hawker centre.
Their fishballs are super bouncy, the whole flavour is strong especially after you added their chilli sauce.
Out of plain ol' curiousity, I joined the queue in front of the stall. While standing in line, I caught a whiff of something familiar. This stall's chilli sambal reminded me of the one I adore at the famous "132 Meepok" located in the coffeeshop of Blk 59, Marine Parade Terrace. The taste was also similar but because it lacked depth and complexity (which the other has in spades), the chilli sambal here came across as one-dimensional. Tossing the clumpy noodles was hard work too.
I am not ruling out another visit as it could be better the next time round. If you want to give this a try, look for "Katong (Jago) Teochew Mee Pok Kway Teow Mee" at unit 01-142 inside the Marine Parade Central hawker centre.
But other than that, itโs really quite ordinary and frankly, not much depth..if I were to choose, the soup is the star.๐
