For Local Fusion Pizza
This little restaurant has its own stone oven where they bake their pizzas in a fire fed by fragrant Rambutan wood. With hand made dough, a secret sauce, generous amounts of cheese and absolute passion and love to making great pizzas this place really deserves a visit if you're nearby. Try out their Qulai signature (RM17), which is their take on the popular Hawaiian chicken pizza, with a springy yet soft dough and fresh toppings, this is a good gauge of their pizza producing prowess. If you're not into pineapples, and in search of a more local flavor, go for the Otak Otak Royale (RM18), which is topped with locally produced Otak Otak. It might not be for everyone, but locals will surely appreciate a Johor flavored pizza.

For A Cheese Loaded Pizza
This place is only open after 4pm and is decked out like an American diner that would be frequented by bikers. They serve up a variety of western bites such as burgers and steaks, but this list is all about their pizzas. Similar to Qulai, Smokey Piston has its own stone oven which is also fed with Rambutan wood (notice a pattern here?), but with a more authentic Italian selection of pies. For those who can't get enough of cheese, we would recommend the Quattro Formaggi (four cheese). Made with Feta, Gorgonzola, Mozzarella, and Parmigiano, this pizza goes for RM30 (8-inch) and will satisfy the cheesiest of cheese lovers. Let's go from one end of the spectrum to the other, let's say you're lactose intolerant but you still want to enjoy a good pie. Order their Marinara (RM18), which is a simple pizza coated with Marinara sauce, oregano and basil, a good way to appreciate Smokey Piston's hand tossed dough.

For Gourmet Pizza
First let's address the elephant in the room, the pizzas here aren't circular, they're rectangles, but don't let that deter you, as the flavor is also abnormally amazing. Feast really enjoys experimenting with their dishes, and their pizzas are no exception, as it ranges from the regular like beef peperoni (RM28) to something more interesting, like their lamb Rendang (RM36). What we really did enjoy was a pizza that had a mix of classic and local all in one, which is the "Laksa Love From Johor" (RM32), a play on words that will literally play on your palates as well. This pizza is made with a special Laksa sauce, mozzarella, while being topped with Otak Otak, onions, ginger flower and Kemangi leaves. This localized goodness is then baked to perfection, leaving you with the familiar feel of a pizza, but with the flavors of everything edible and awesome at a Johor night market.

Vege Coffee

For Vegan Friendly Pizza
A pizza made entirely out of vegetable produce, those with a carnivorous tendency might shy away at the idea, but we weren't going to leave our vegan friends out of this pizza party. Vege Coffee serves up what we can only describe as a very convincing pizza, it would be close to impossible to tell that this pie doesn't have even a sliver of animal based produce in it. Made with vegan cheese (lactose intolerant friendly too), and a slew of meaty veggies like capsicums, bell peppers, tomatoes and mushrooms, you'll get a satisfying bite with each slice. This pizza goes for RM16.90 and is entirely guilt free, unless you ate the entire thing yourself.
