Fresh Prawn Wonton Noodles Soup
Special shout-out to their H.K. Style Milk Tea ($3.50 for hot, $4.50 for cold) which is super smooth - one of the best ones I had in Singapore!
The X.O. Sauce Stir Fried Turnip Cake ($7.50) is savoury and fragrant. The turnip cake is also very soft.
The Zok Noodle House Curry Noodles ($13.90) comes with soooo many ingredients: wanton, pork belly, beancurd skin, taupok, fish cake, cockles and long bean! I chose hor fun for the noodles and it goes really well with the curry, which is rich but not too thick.
I’m not a big fan of mixian in general but the Boneless Chicken Spicy Chilli Rice Noodles ($11.90) and Fresh Prawn Wanton & Pork Chop Spicy Chili Rice Noodles ($13.80) are not bad. There is a kick to the spicy soup and the boneless chicken is very tender. The pork chop is very soft and flavourful as well, and the skin reminds me of beancurd skin.
The Zok Noodle House Milky Soup Pork Noodles ($13.90) features a comforting bowl of noodles with pork belly, liver, meat ball and minced meat. The milky broth is surprisingly rich and sweet, which reminds me of a very potent bak chor mee soup broth. The ingredients are very generous, the ramen has a good bite and there is no strong porky taste.
