More Reviews of good food at Yoogane (Bugis Junction)

My go to whenever I have an intense craving for korean food, cause Yoogane is available on eatigo with 50% off at either early/late lunch times which makes them so so worth it! The chicken galbi comes chocked full of chicken, potato, rice cakes, leeks and cabbage, marinated in that delectable spicy gochujang sauce! 🤤🤤 The large size is good for 2 big eaters or 3 medium ones, and definitely add the ramyeon noodles ($3.80++) for that heavenly combi of dry spicy tangy ramen! Side dishes are free flow with kimchi, bean sprouts and kewpie cabbage salad. Super super yummy and filling and great service (they do the cooking for you 👍🏻), except they charge for water... But still great place to satisfy any korean dakgalbi cravings! 😋😋

In Chinese, it literally means kkan (dry), pung (stir-fry), and gi (chicken). Chunks of boneless chicken are seasoned with soy sauce, ginger, then mixed with some starch to make it crunchy once fried - one of my favourite NEW dishes introduced by @yooganesg

An affordable place for donburis!!!! They have chirashi don for $12.80!!!! Although I don’t eat but my momma says it’s pretty good for the price so newsflash!
.
Unagi don and avocado (~$16.80) didn’t think this combi would work out but it the avocado added a ‘break’ in the otherwise repetitive taste of the unagi sauce! Unagi sauce wasn’t too thick or salty, and the portion of Unagi was pretty generous for the price 😛 However it did get a lil bony though 🙁

Reasonably priced with a good amount of food in this Korean stew, the special highlight comes from the perimeter cheese surrounding the pot of soup. Dip your food in the cheese rim for a mouth full of goodness!

Wanted to try this since they first opened. I must admit I can like Korean food when I don't have to cook it. However, the cheese is more of a gimmick. Hardens quickly and then no longer appealing. Ramyeon with this is always appreciated!

Cheesy Chicken Galbi ($55.90)
This is a good dish to share with a group of 3-4 friends. Marinated Chicken, dokboki (rice cake), potato, scallions, onions, cabbage, sweet potato dokboki with a ring of melted mozzarella cheese. We added ramyeon noodles to this. We also ordered a side of fried rice which the waitress cooked at the end.

Wouldn’t order this again as it was kinda of tasteless to me. Totally a waste of calories.

Unique spicy sauce stir-fried with tender chicken meat, dokboki and fresh veggies.

Definitely best choice for SG’s summer weather! A refreshing taste with super “Q” chewy thin noodles. The soup is sweet yet with a tingly sourness.

This army stew could easily feed up to 3 pax, has cheese with eggs around the rim. The stew has baked beans, enoki mushroom, cheese balls, tokpokki, maggie, beancurd, fish cakes and cabbage. It’s not overly salty and spicy.

First time eating Yoogane in SG(usual price is too expensive😝) and also first time trying the non-spicy chicken bulgogi, which is sweet, salty and peppery.. We still prefer the red and spicy chicken galbi hehe.
There’s no green apple dressing here.. but strawberry dressing instead (which tastes similar to yan yan dip🙊)

Perfect for 2-3 pax, comes with Honey Miso Chicken Pan, which is new on the menu! 4 exquisite side dishes (Crispy Squid, Tteok-Galbi, Seared Tuna and Soft Shell Crab *my personal fave* ) , 2 festive drinks and 2 posset desserts!

Chewy, slippery buckwheat noodles in a chilled broth flavoured with vinegar and mustard.
.
Mix the runny yolk from the egg over the vegetables. Very clean, refreshing, zesty sharp sour flavours.

The signature marinated chicken is paired with assorted vegetables, rice cakes, and a gooey cheese ring with up to 2 different toppings!. I particularly like the sweet corn kernels, which complement the savoury spicy flavours of the chicken galbi.

[Invited Tasting]. With tender chicken, marinated their house recipe galbi sauce, which is delicious with notes of savoury sweet spicy.

Staff help to prepare this tableside, cooking it with assorted vegetables (spring onions, leeks, daikon radish, cabbage), and adding on chewy tteokbokki / rice cakes.

Fresh octopus, with a bouncy texture, is added last. Everything is quickly stirred, ensuring the tasty sauce evenly coats all the ingredients.

Delicious.

This contains the signature tender chicken meat marinated in the unique Yoogane sauce marinate, fresh vegetables, rice cakes and thin slices of potato, surrounded by a layer of melted cheese.

Price: $14.90 per serving (min of 2)

Words seem unnecessary after this picture. Nobody questions a moat filled with cheese.

A little pro tip though: eat the cheese fast because once they turn off the heat, it hardens pretty quickly.

@yooganesg
A version of the signature Dakgalbi stir-fried spicy chicken made into a stew – think Army Stew with a lot, a lot of ingredients.

Tell you what, this Galbi Jeongol is seasonal and not even released in Korea itself. Jinjja?! Do get the topup of Ramyeon with CHEESE. Check out the melty cheese with spicy noodles. Daebak!
