Seems like prices have been rising through the years. This was very pricey for half a chicken

Rice was decent, fluffy and rather mild. The chicken was done well, tender and smooth but what sets them apart is their sauce. Predominantly savoury, and aromatic from the oils. Very salty though even though it doesn't have a strong body.

Chili had a lot of ginger

It's fine but way too expensive.

Feeling under the weather today and it's a good time to whip out my phone and order a good meal using #FoodPandaSG app! Ordering is a breeze and I was spoilt for choices on the variety of food to choose from. So I ended up ordering:

➊ [Marmite Chicken S$13]

➋ [Guinness Pork Rib King S$13]

➌ [Thai Style Beancurd S$10.60]
➍ [Sambal Brinjal S$9.50]
Delivery was supposed to be 1 hour but they arrived in 30 mins with pipping hot food! 👍🏻👍🏻

After football meal with the lads. Half a chicken at $15.

The rice was moist and fragrant, and wasn't not oily at all, which is an obvious plus. However, it wasn't as flavourful as, say, Boon Tong Kee's -- although it turned out well eventually. Because of the generous amount of savory sauce ladled onto the chicken (which you are most welcome to scoop onto your rice), there was still a nice strong chicken flavour when eaten together. Pretty ingenious -- especially if you don't like extremely salty chicken rice.

Chicken was supremely soft and tender -- quite flawless actually. My only gripe with it is that the portion was a little too small. Chilli was more sweet than salty. The soup, however, was a disaster. It was EXTREMELY peppery, which completely upset the balance of flavours. Might be an aberration though.

Oh, and do come early if you plan to have dinner there. The parking was an absolute nightmare.

famous for their chicken rice (which is absolutely delicious), this little store serves pretty decent Zichar too!!! Wide variety of choices and most of them sound pretty interesting. The 12$ Chinese spinach with assorted eggs was especially delicious GAHA we even finished the soup bc it was that flavorful yum!!! If you are a fan of salted egg then the 12$ salted egg sotong is a must get! love how the salted egg coating is so thick and crispy! The 11$ hainanese pork chop was alright but not too impressive GAHA loved the sauce but it just tasted like fried pork cutlets. The 16$ herbal drunken prawns however were really really disappointing :-( I swear you could smell the herbs from miles away but the flavour didn't seep into the meat at all and the prawn turned out to be really bland and tasteless :-( DO NOT GET THAT DISH GUYS the cereal prawn / salted egg prawn seemed like much better options
