There was a HUGE variety of seafood and meat available. There were also cooked food, desserts and free flow of Thai milk-teas and ice cream.

Meat is well marinated ๐Ÿ˜‹ garlic meat, sesame meat, black peper meat, spicy meat ๐Ÿ˜

The seafood is very fresh as well. With abalones, crayfish, prawns, bamboo clams, salmon, scallops, sotong...

Crayfish is very popular so it is vey hard to get hold of it.

Buffet is $35 per pax, not cheap but it's free flow๐Ÿ˜ฐtheir meat is well marinated, I personally think it's better than many places. Personally like the garlic pork and spicy chicken. Seafood selection has crayfish, prawns, clams, scallops etc, best to cook in soup to make the broth tastier and I will always add vermicelli, seasoned (fake) abalone slices, Chinese cabbage & mushrooms in the soup๐Ÿ˜ End it with ice cream and my favourite is coconut flavour. Wonder where can I buy coconut ice cream, I can't find it in supermarts. I only found potong but I dislike the coconut bits. Anyone knows where I can buy coconut ice cream pints/popsicle? Go & try Ycube, only hope it can be cheaper๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜‹

This might be the only reason we are back for the 3rd time. The crayfish is fresh and good as always. Other seafood selections include oyster, scallop, crab, mini lobster, bamboo clams, lala, mussels, prawn, sotong rings and white fish, though no sight of salmon today. Also wide range of marinated pork and chicken. Newly added cooked food section, and was surprised to spot cheese fries, you just can't go wrong with fries and nacho cheese! Service was great too as the waiter/waitress will come to your table and ask if you need help to de-shell the seafood. Buffet charged at $35.20 per pax on weekend, comes with free flow thai milk tea and ice cream!

Everything has a first โ€” and this is my virgin experience with Mookata; hadn't really given Mookata a go (and this is obviously not my idea for those whom know me pretty well) especially since I am more of a Korean BBQ person, and that buffets are really my thing unless a friend/clique/family calls for it and even so, my usual instinct would probably lie towards international buffets at hotels (e.g. Colony).

For $29.90 on weekdays all-day, Y Cube offers a small selection of hot food (not particularly Thai though; Samosa, Fried Rice, Cheese Fries and Ngoh Hiang) alongside a myriad of items that goes in your Mookata (the spread covers a large number of processed food, some seafood including mussels, clams, flower crabs, fish and other seafood, a small selection of meat with most selections being chicken/pork) with free-flow soft drinks (Thai Milk Tea included) and a selection of Magnolia ice-cream for dessert. For a first-timer, it was definitely intriguing to see a slab of pork fat being greased over the metal grill in place of the usual butter or cooking spray some places use; the marination of meats were pretty decent overall. The oils from the meats drip down into the broth base, which is pretty flavourful to have but let's just say I wouldn't recommend having it too much; it can get pretty oily and gloopy down there which isn't quite the healthiest thing to have. That being said, I would not mind having a Mookata some other time, though it's probably going to be a once-in-a-while affair just like how a Korean BBQ meal would be for me. Not sure how this place fares against other Mookata spots since it's my first, but it's probably decent considering it quite made me accept the concept and idea behind Mookata overall.

(PS: Be prepared to smell of the fumes once you leave; the lack of air ventilation pumps and the enclosed space of the eatery means you probably would smell like a walking Mookata afterwards!)

No idea why did we end up at Golden Mile - the 'little Thailand', having mookata for dinner. The place is located on level 2, very spacious with plenty of (indoor aircon) seats. Good food choices include seafood (clam, oyster, baby octopus, fish, flower crab, scallop, shell, mussel, CRAYFISH, salmon, prawn), marinated meat (garlic/black pepper/spicy chicken and PORK, sliced beef), mushrooms, vegetables, fish ball/ cake, hot dog and packet thai instant noodle. Free flow drinks and icecream! 2 pax paid for $70.40 on Friday evening. It's not cheap but definitely worth the money with unlimited and constantly replenished fresh seafood. The CRAYFISH is definitely one of the key highlights, so fresh so firm so sweet and juicy!! Sooo good that we had 6 full, piling trays of it! Hahaha trust me. It is one of the reason why i would be back again!
