We had the truffle roasted duck, mala fish, brussel sprouts and lobster pai tee. All of them were not bad but quite overpriced IMO. The lobster pai tee was the best dish out of the 4 with a generous amount of lobster, slathered in rich mayo and topped with ikura. Truffle roasted duck was not subtle with the truffle which I appreciated. The mala fish was average, while the brussel sprouts was a bit too sweet with Thai chili sauce-like taste.

Lobster Kueh Pie Tee is sure to amaze you with the freshness of the lobster and roes!

$31
Fish with lotus roots, glass noodles and others.

Personally love mala and thought that this dish has a great mala flavour. Great dish to satisfy mala craving.

Had to come back to try more dishes.

Loved the Japanese influenced kueh pie tee, with lobster salad and ikura. It’s quite substantial, super shiok!

Brussels sprouts was amazing. Excellent Asian interpretation, you have to try it yourself.

Ngoh Hiang wasn’t my favourite though, the other dishes were superior. Also, I don’t know what they did with their ice lemon tea but it’s fab 🤩

Okay this is a must-order! I don’t love the usual KPT but the lobster one is good! They aren’t stingy with the lobster meat at all.

Loved how novel this is! So we found out Otah tastes good fried too!!

Great vibes, food and chili. What more can you ask for?

I liked the Hokkien mee better than beef horfun, the former was a star with pieces of fried pork lard, baby sotong and prawn, superb stock. Over all a really hearty experience. Only downside was their scallop was awfully fishy.

Beef horfun was lacklustre for me that day it’s wokhey was a little dull and the oily kway teow quickly made itself known.

Loved the ice lemon tea, wasn’t expecting much but the tang was gr8. So was the sinful pork ribs we ordered.

Will be back!!

@xiaoyatou.sg offers decent uniquely Singapore drinks at only $15 a pop. They fit in well with the endearingly tacky 60s vibes.

My 𝗼𝗽𝗶𝘂𝗺 ($15) hit with smoke that wasn't too strong and slowly tapered off — like the menthol of a YP zooming past on a PMD. 🛴💨

It blended well with a touch of savoury sweetness. Easy to drink, addictive and potent, colonial oppression never tasted sweeter. 🙃

Eggs Benedict is considered quite a ‘staple’ in many brunch menus in Singapore, typically consisting of an open-faced sandwich of two halves of an English muffin topped with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce.

While this egg dish is popularised in New York City, many Singapore cafes have added their own spin, included with mackerel otah otah, beef cheeks, unagi, to even using prata as the base.

The star of the show for me👏🏼👏🏼. Wet Runny Eggy and chock a block full of fresh seafood .. tart big prawns, scallops, sqiud and just enough pork lard to flavour it. And it didn’t have to rely on much garlic to bring out its true flavoursome self.. just the way I like Hokkien mee💕
If you’re the dry type this ones not for you but if like me your Hokkien mee runs like soggy heaven.. come join the party!

Different take on kueh pie tee.. no bangkuang here. Lobster and lumpfish roe mayonnaised with a base of starfruit occupies a fried wanton skin shaped to masquerade as a pie tee.
It was delicious and worth it.. 4 disguised pietees at $15 the only downside being served cold.
Good as a starter to share

So good!

Law of diminishing returns set in subsequently with the so-so Ngoh Hiang ($16) & the loosely tugged Duck Spring Rolls ($15)
🦆
Black Truffles (rather mild) Fried Rice ($26) was ok and Chilli Crab ($28) with mantou was not worth the value
🍚
We went for the signature dessert- Coconut Tau Huay ($9) but sadly the combi didn’t gel with our tastebuds
🥥
Ice Cendol ($10) failed to wow us with its super coarse crushed ice. But I kinda like the just right sweetness of gula melaka while enjoying my favorite green cendol strands

Not really worth the price that we paid for. I Guess this place is more for expats looking for Asian food?

Tasted like lu rou fan but ingredients were not a lot compared to the price paid

Hawker food taken up a notch. We ordered the wagyu beef lu rou fan, hokkien mee and deep fried hakka pork to share. Though each dish cost 5x more than its hawker centre counterpart, it also tasted 5x nicer. Portions were generous. Would definitely return!

Milo dinosaur is a whole time favorite. With additional alcohol, it becomes a cocktail that’s so easy to drink and it’s comforting to the soul.

So full of Wok hey, good consistency in the noodles - keeping the right level of al dente whilst keeping the moisture intact with lots of eggy goodness in the pork broth. Loved their use of their smoked pancetta in place of sliced pork belly which gives packs a bigger punch in flavour. The clams are fresh and good. But can’t say the same for the prawns used which is the only reason why it’s not getting a full 5 star rating.

Didn’t have high expectations for this because this modern interpretations of hawker food don’t usually turn out well. BUT WE WERE SO WRONG. This was so Flavorful, and the flavours meshed so nicely together, and it was such a comfort to eat that this is now our favourite Hokkien mee in Singapore! The stock was so Flavorful, and the ingredients were so fresh. We have actually been back for this on 3 other occasions. Do give it a try!
